The pre-race musical entertainment for NASCAR's Daytona 500 featured a variety of acts spanning the decades of the race's first 50 years -- Chubby Checker, Kool and the Gang, Michael McDonald, Brooks & Dunn and Trisha Yearwood, who performed the National Anthem.
In my opinion, the advantage here goes to the NFL's halftime entertainment headliners -- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers -- who performed their version of the National Anthem, "American Girl," not to mention that timeless crusin' anthem, "I Won't Back Down."
