Cody Smith won the $5,000 IMCA Stock Car feature at Heart O Texas Speedway’s 4th Annual Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial Shootout

It was the finale night of the 4th Annual Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial Shootout at Heart O Texas Speedway. Saturday night a strong field of 37 IMCA Stock Cars battled it out for a chance at Saturday’s $5,000 to win feature. Cody Smith, from Kaufman, TX, took home the top prize! Along with the IMCA Stock Cars, Saturday’s Showcard included the IMCA Southern Sport Mods, Factory Stocks, Outlaw Street Stocks, and Jr. Limiteds. Heart O Texas Speedway would like to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July Weekend. Check out all the exciting racing action from Saturday night.

It was smooth sailing for Jeb Sessums in the RaceSaver Sprints at Mountain Creek Speedway

Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie was up and running Friday night. The track had been closed for several weeks due to the weather. A nice crowd was on hand, along with a good number of racers, who were ready for some racing.

RaceSaver Sprint Winner: Once Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, took the lead in the Sprint feature there was no catching him. Jeb ran away with it. J. Howell, No. 44, had a strong run to end up second. D. Woods, No. 00, who started on the pole, settled for third, J. Ricketts, No. 5r, was fourth and L. Payne, No. 2, was fifth.

IMCA Modified Winner: Oklahoma's William Gould, No. 60, powered his way to the IMCA Modified feature win. R. Travathan Sr., No. 751, was second, T. Williams, No. 151, was third, S. Cox, No. 3c, was fourth and C. Petty, No. 5p, was fifth.

World's fastest jet truck at the Alliance Airshow

The ShockWave triple Pratt & Whitney jet engines truck sent sound waves through the Alliance Airshow crowd. The jet truck raced down a runway against an airplane on Saturday and Sunday. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it is the world's fastest truck that is capable of reaching speeds of over 375 mph. With over 36,000 h.p., ShockWave can accelerate at almost 3 G's vertical, which is as fast as the Space Shuttle.
