It was the final night of the 2nd Annual Mike Melton Memorial at Kennedale Speedway Park! A solid field of 27 Sprints were in the pits. Taco Casa John Carney II, from El Paso, TX, was your $5,000 to win Sprint feature winner. Also on Saturday’s Program, were the IMCA Sportmods, and the IMCA Stock Cars. Check out all the exciting racing action and family fun from Saturday night!

Kennedale Speedway Park’s next race is Saturday, May 17th, and will feature the IMCA Modifieds. Saturday’s Showcard also includes the IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Eco Mods, and the Sport Compacts.
Raceway Ministries: Kennedale Speedway offers a unique feature at the track. That is a ministry. We are under the umbrella of Texas Alliance Raceway Ministry based out at Texas Motor Speedway. The people involved in this ministry are Randy Denbow (chaplain), and Steve Kaneaster (asst. chaplain). We give the invocation, operate the hot pit and oversee the children's special events at the track. We offer spiritual and prayer support. It was qualifying night at Kennedale Speedway Park for the 2nd Annual Mike Melton Memorial featuring the RaceSaver IMCA 305 Winged Sprint Cars! An impressive field of 30 Sprints were in the pits. Chad Wilson, from North Richland Hills, TX, was your Friday night $1,000 to win Sprint A qualifier winner. Chad also won the quick time (13.423) for an extra $500. Friday’s program also included the $500 to win Factory Stocks. Michael Trammell II, from Decatur, TX, was your feature winner. Devon Bowles, from Italy, TX, was your Eco Mod $500 to win feature winner. Check out all the exciting racing action and family fun from Friday night!

Racing continues Saturday night, May 10th, for the final night of the 2nd Annual Mike Melton Memorial featuring the RaceSaver Sprints. Saturday night’s program will consists of time trials and last chance qualifying races with the Sprint A main paying $5,000 to win and $150 to start. It was Photos by Mike Night at Kennedale Speedway Park! Mike Frieri added $1,500 to the Modified purse. Most of the race tracks in the area were closed due to the recent rains. Thanks to Bo Rawdon and his hard working crew, Kennedale Speedway Park was able to race. An impressive field of 170 race teams were in the pits. In the IMCA Modified feature, Jacob Pirkle, from Midiothian, TX, defeated Dean Abbey and Jake UpChurch, for the exciting win. Along with the Modifieds, Saturday’s Showcard included the IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Eco Mods, plus the Sport Compacts. The Kids enjoyed riding on the race cars during intermission. Check out all the exciting racing action and family fun from Saturday night!
