Chase Allen defeated William Gould to win the 17th Annual Summit Showdown $3,069 Modified feature at Kennedale Speedway Park

Kennedale Speedway Park hosted the 17th Annual Summit Showdown and Kirk Martin Memorial Race. Saturday’s Showcard featured the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Eco Mods and the Jr. Limiteds. Kennedale Speedway Park wrapped up their 2023 racing season with the Legendary Trailer Race. Check out all the racing action and family fun from Saturday night.

Modified $3,069 Feature Winner: Chase Allen, No. 54, was your feature winner! 2. William Gould was a close second, 3. Jacob Pirkle, 4. Josh MaGaha, 5. Jake Upchurch, 6. Garrett Gregory, 7. Damon Hammond, 8. Chad Melton, 9. Kaleb Emerson, 10. Jason Gomez, 11. Jimmy Littlejohn, 12. Steve Askew, 13. Hardy Henderson, 14. Jeremy Busby, 15. David Sanford Jr., 16. Mike Hathcock, 17. Chase Allen put on a show and took home the big check.

William Gould settled for second.

Racers attempted to qualify Friday night for the 17th Annual Summit Showdown and Kirk Martin Memorial Stock Car Race. A good field of 146 race cars were in the pits. The top eight cars in each class locked themselves into Saturday’s Show. Friday’s qualifying program featured six classes of cars that included the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Stock Cars, Eco Mods and the Jr. Limiteds. Tommy Williams, No. 151, was your Factory Stock $575 feature winner! Along with the Factory Stocks, Saturday’s Showcard included the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Stock Cars, Eco Mods and the Jr. Limiteds. Race fans were treated to FREE snow cones, Candy Call, Kids Ride on Cars, plus twenty-eight lucky kids won a bicycle. Check out all the racing action and family fun from Saturday night.

Raceway Ministries: Kennedale Speedway offers a unique feature at the track. That is a ministry. We are under the umbrella of Texas Alliance Raceway Ministry based out at Texas Motor Speedway. The people involved in this ministry are Randy Denbow (chaplain), and Steve Kaneaster (asst. chaplain). We give the invocation, operate the hot pit and oversee the children's special events at the track. Race fans were asked to wear orange in remembrance of Brandon Palmer at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Thanks to the Palmer family for adding money to the IMCA Stock Car purse. Craig Moss was your Brandon Palmer IMCA Stock Car $600 feature winner. The IMCA Modifieds returned to Kennedale Speedway Park, along with the IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Eco Mods, and Dwarf Cars. Check out all the racing action from Saturday night.

Plus the 2nd Annual Smiley’s All Star Southern Sportmod $1,000 to win race.
