Casey Burkham was the Tony Hernandez Memorial Sprint feature winner at Kennedale Speedway Park

A great crowd was on hand for the Tony Hernandez Memorial at Kennedale Speedway Park.

Kennedale Speedway Park hosted the inaugural Texas Sprint Series Tony Hernandez Memorial Saturday night! A great crowd was on hand along with FORTY Texas Sprint Series IMCA RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars! Tony Hernandez was a flagman and the founder of the Texas Sprint Series (TSS). Along with the Texas Sprint Series (TSS), were the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and Sport Compacts! Kennedale Speedway Park would like to thank all the racers and race fans that came out to support this event. Check out all the exciting racing action from Saturday night below!

Sprint Feature Winner: Casey Burkham, No. 45b, was your feature winner! Logan Scherb, J. Ricketts, M. Parson, C. Brewer, M. Thomas, J. Sessums, Lucas Scherb, K. Venable, and N. Moore, rounded out the top ten. M. Etzelmiller, D. Burke, J. Warhurst, C. Estes, C. Wilson, D. Burkham, J. Emerson, D. Estes, C. McCreary, and Corby Scherb, rounded out the field. Twenty-cars started the feature. Forty Sprints were in the pits!

Logan Scherb, No. 18, had a solid second.

John Ricketts, No. 99b, had a strong run for third.

James Lopez was injured during the Sprint feature and taken to the hospital.

Modified Feature Winner: Glen Hibbard, No. 127, was your feature winner! J. White Jr., J. McGaha, D. Goode Jr., M. Adams, M. McMillin, T. Geter, L. Hanson Jr., D. Gonzales, M. Martin, T. Raney, P.J. Egbert, and J. Emerson, rounded out the field. 

Jon White Jr., No. 8j, came in second.

SportMod Feature Winner: Jeff Reynolds, No. 29lr, wins a close one with Jake UpChurch, No. 24! J. Cook, J. Skinner, K. Manning, D. Cavanaugh, Jerrett Bransom, D. Redmon, J. Rabozzi, and K. Crawford, rounded out the top ten. G. Fox, B. Dudley, J. Coone, C. Knight, D. Owens, N. Torres, T. Freeman, C. Brunson, J. Willis, D. Hammonds, A. Neubauer, and J. Hossler, rounded out the field. Twenty two cars started the feature.

Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was a close second.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Westin Abbey, No. 112, was your feature winner! S. Williams, D. Carter, R. Powers, K. Martin, B. Clark, A Benedict, D. Campbell, Jerrett Bransom, and E. Miles, rounded out the rop ten. M. Harcrow, Sam Spadario, C. Obregon, G. Nabors, J. Bruce, Samuel Spadaro, Y. Tulchin, and A. Gregg, rounded out the field. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Shelby Williams, No. 82, had a strong run for second.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Brett McMillin, No. 61, was your feature winner! R. Powers, B. Taylor, B. Clark, C. Cook, C. Morris, E. Lawrence, R. White, J. Hauser, and M. Cress, rounded out the top ten. J. Rawlins, T. Murray, G. Gafford, M. Murasak, J. Van Matre, E. Lleithner, J. Fowler, T. Morris, K. Magar, K. Nottingham, K. Foster, and J. Coming on strong was Ryan Powers, No. r12, but he settled for second.

Sport Compact Feature Winner: Steven Bevills, No. 7s, was your feature winner! S. Riojas, H. Clifton, F. Lackey, P. Miller, D. Rivers, K. Watson, S. Marnell, J. Bransom, and D. Baggerly, rounded out the top ten. B. Cannon, C. Miles, B. Freeman, B. Moorehead, H. Watson, and Z. Taylor, rounded out the field. Sixteen cars started the feature.

Patrick Miller, No. 24, had a top five finish.

Raceway Ministries: Kennedale Speedway offers a unique feature at the track. That is a ministry. We are under the umbrella of Texas Alliance Raceway Ministry based out at Texas Motor Speedway. The people involved in this ministry are Randy Denbow (chaplain), Steve Kaneaster (asst. chaplain), Buster Brown (hot pit), and Steve Schwartz. We give the invocation, operate the hot pit and oversee the children's special events at the track.
