It was opening points night at Kennedale Speedway Park! The weather was beautiful and there were seven classes of cars in the pits that were ready to go racin! The featured class was the IMCA Modifieds! The other classes were the IMCA Sportmods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Sport Compacts and the Jr. Minis! Saturday’s Showcard, also included the Lone Star Dwarf Car Club that was getting there 2020 racing season underway! Check out all the exciting racing action from Saturday night below!

Modified Feature Winner: William Gould, No. 60, was your feature winner! M. Guillaume, M. Martin, D. Goode Jr., C. Tidwell, C. Oakes, C. Shoemaker, J. White Jr., G. Hibbard, and C. Bragg, rounded out the field. Ten cars started the feature.

Matt Guillaume was a very close second.

Matt Martin had a top three finish.

SportMod Feature Winner: Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was your feature winner! D. Abbey, J. Cook, M. Day, K. Honeycutt, C. Morris, G. Fox, D. Redmon, and J. Rabozzi, rounded out the top ten. K. Williams Jr., J. Hossier, K. Crawford, C. Brunson, J. Coone, D. Hammond, K. Manning, J. Bransom, T. West, T. Freeman, K. Traffanstedt, D. Day, D. Cavanagh, and T. Walp, rounded out the field. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Dean Abbey had a solid second place finish.

Kennedale Speedway Park hosted their Annual Summit Spring Kick-off Saturday night! Thursday and Friday nights programs were cancelled due to the weather. Saturdays Showcard featured the Sniper Speed 3rd Annual Lone Star IMCA Stock Car Tour that crowned their tour Champion! Westin Abbey was crowned the champion and took home the $5,000 prize for collecting the most tour points for the week. This has been a wild week for Westin, he picked up $13,000 Thursday night at the Texas Motor Speedways Dirt Track! Also on Saturdays Showcard, were the $1,000 to win IMCA Modifieds, the $400 to win IMCA SportMod, and the $400 to win Factory Stocks! Check out all the exciting racing action from Saturday night below!

Heart O Texas Speedway, in Elm Mott, TX, kicked off their 2020 racing season with the Sniper Speed Lone Star Stock Car Tour! HOT was the second stop for the Stock Car Tour that opened at Abilene Speedway. Saturday night at Abilene Speedway Eighty Stock Cars were in the pits! Westin Abbey took home the Sniper Speed Lone Star Stock Car $1,000 feature win! Sunday night, along with the IMCA Stock Cars, Heart O Texas Speedway hosted the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, and the exciting Factory Stocks.

The Sniper Speed Lone Star Stock Car Tour continues Monday night, February 17, at Grayson County Speedway in Bells, Texas. Check out all the HOT racing action from Sunday night!

Stock Car $1,000 Feature Winner: Derek Green, No. 32, was your feature winner! Derek also won the Prelude to the Lone Star Stock Car Tour Friday night at Abilene Speedway! J. Abbey, A. Huls, W. DFW-based IMCA Sprint Car Group Texas Sprint Series (TSS) launches new web site

The Online Home for the Texas Sprint Series Launches Today, at raceTSS.com!

Garland, TX (02/06/20) by DarinShort.com.Officials of the DFW-based Texas Sprint Series (TSS) are pleased to announce the launch of www.raceTSS.com – their new online home. For those unfamiliar, the TSS is a RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car group that competes across eight tracks in roughly a 150-mile radius of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex area.

At the new site, fans, race teams, tracks and marketing partners can keep updated on the latest Series news, pictures, video, schedule, rules, online registration & merchandise store…and much more.

Speaking of online store, TSS would like to thank Norman Martin and the crew at Action Sportswear for creating such a great looking t-shirt design for 2020 (which will be for sale at raceTSS.com within a couple of days).

TSS Series Promoter Danny Merrell comments: “The 2020 season for the Texas Sprint Series is going to be fantastic. We’ve got a great officiating crew assembled, there are already 38 registered teams and now all we need is some decent race night weather in order to provide racing fans throughout this region with exciting and family entertainment-driven winged sprint car racing.”

Merrell continues: “During the off-season we developed a symbiotic relationship with the 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series. That alliance will help grow our online media presence – and it already is today with the launch of raceTSS.com. I’d like to thank SCB co-founder Darin Short for spearheading coordination with the tracks across this region and getting both the TSS and SCB schedules interlocked, resulting in not even one overlapping event scheduled for the 2020 season. Now when race fans want to see a quality winged sprint car series in the region, they’ll no longer have to pick and choose which series event to go to. This also greatly benefits those alliance tracks, as it will boost fan attendance organically. Between the scheduling work, bolstered marketing presence and strong officiating staff, we’re really hitting on all eight cylinders going into the new season.”

Will Eggimann, Principal with the SCB comments: “There are so many positive scenarios with this alliance that make sense for teams, fans, marketing partners and promoters – and that’s been our ultimate goal all along with the SCB.”

In other Series news, there are no significant rules or procedure changes being planned. The season kick-off meeting was this past Saturday at Smiley’s Racing Products and teams are now prepping for the season opener at Kennedale Speedway Park on Saturday, March 7th.
