Logan Scherb was the Texas Sprint Series feature winner at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night

Kennedale Speedway Park hosted the Texas Sprint Series (TSS) Saturday night! The Texas Sprint Series (TSS) feature the exciting Winged RaceSaver 305 Sprints! Despite the weather, a good field of twenty-six Sprints were were in the pits. Along with the Sprint Cars, were the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Sport Compacts, and the Jr. Minis. Check out all the exciting racing action from Saturday night below!

Sprint Feature Winner: Logan Scherb, No. 18, was the Texas Sprint Series feature winner. Jeff Emerson, No. 35, had a good run for second, Chase Brewer, No. 32, was third, Claud Estes III, No. 74e, was fourth and Dalton Steed, No. 420, was fifth. Merle Scherb, Lucas Scherb, Christian Kennison, Austin Burham, and Regan reed, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-three cars started the feature.

Claud Estes III, No. 74e, had a top five finish.

IMCA Modified Feature Winner: Darryl Campbell, No. 83, is celebrating his 25th year of "Destroyer Chassis"! Darryl destroyed the competition with a Modified feature win! Matt Guillaume, No. 50, had a solid run for second, William Gould, No. 60, was third, Marvin Skinner, No. 27s, was fourth, and Larry Adams, no. 711, was fifth. Matt Martin, Dillion Pike, Cody Shoemaker, Jay Bransom, and Cameron Wilson, rounded out the top ten. Fourteen cars the feature.

Matt Guillaume, No. 50, had a solid second place finish.

SportMod Feature Winner: "Wild Child" Damon Hammond, No. 116, was your feature winner! Kaden Honeycutt, No. 37, was a close second, James NcCreery, No. 13j, was third, Jacob Pirkle, No. 141, was fourth and Kevin Crawford, No. 7c, was fifth. Chris Cogburn, Dean abbey, Austin Neubauer, Gary Fox, and Billy Burt, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Craig Moss, No. 25, was your feature winner! Brandon Taylor, No. 5*, was second, Westin Abbey, No. 37, was third, Ryan Powers, No. p74, was fourth and Damon Hammond, No. 116, was fifth. Darryl Campbell, Lewis Blackwood, Jay Bransom, Blake Clark, and Jerrett Bransom, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: One of the best races of the evening saw Kenny Magar, No. 84, hold off a strong field to take the Factory Stock feature! Brett McMillin, No. 61, ended up second, Jeff Hauser, No. 18x, was third, Westin Abbey, No. 77w, was fourth and Calvin Williams, No. 11w, was fifth. Rickey Sessions, Jason Cook, Gearge Gafford, David Redmon, and Duane Wolff, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen cars started the feature.

Marcus Thomas won the $1,200 Sprint Car Bandits opening race of the season at Heart O Texas Speedway

Heart O Texas Speedway hosted the Annual Gene Adamcik Memorial event Friday night. Gene was the popular owner and promoter of Heart O Texas Speedway for 32 years! The featured class this week was the high powered 360 c.i. Winged Sprint Car Bandits Series! This was the season opener for the “Dare to be Different” Sprint Car Bandits Series featuring the “Fierce 15”! A good field of thirty Sprint Cars were in the pits. Before the races, race fans got to meet the drivers, take pictures, get autographs and purchase merchandise at the Sprint Car Bandits Series Fan Fest! Along with the exciting Sprint Cars, were the “ground pounding” IMCA Modifieds, Southern SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Outlaw Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Mini Stocks. Check out all the exciting racing action and family fun from Friday night!

Sprint Feature Winner: Marcus Thomas, No. 15t , was your $1,200 Sprint Car Bandit feature winner. Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was second, Chad Wilson, No. 20, was third, Austin Mundie, No. 4, was fourth and Justin Fifield, No. 49, was fifth. Michelle Melton, Josh Hawkins, John Ricketts, Chance McCrary, and Chipper Wood, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-cars started the feature. A good field of thirty-cars were in the pits.

Jeffrey Abbey, Justin Radcliff, Marvin Skinner, Jeff Hoegh, and Garrett Higgins, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two cars started the feature.

Glen Hibbard picked up his first IMCA Modified feature win of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park

The LoneStar Dwarf Car Club made their first appearance of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night! A good field of thirty-two Dwarf Cars were in the pits. Chance Hull, No. 51, was your feature winner. Along with the Dwarf Cars, were the IMCA Modifieds, SportMods, Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Sport Compacts, and the Jr. Minis. Check out all the exciting racing action from Saturday night below!

IMCA Modified Feature Winner: One of the best races of the evening! Justin McCoy, No. 410, appeared to slip past Glen Hibbard, MB Customs, No. 127, at the finish line for the win. Sadly, a short time later, Justin was DQ'd for being to light, giving the exciting IMCA Modified feature win to Glen Hibbard! William Gould, No. 60, took second, Jay Bransom, No. 29, was third, Matt Martin, No. 11, was fourth and Mitch McMillin, No. 61, was fifth. Matt Guillaume, Beau Begnaud, Danny Rodgers, Cody Shoemaker, and Dillon Pike, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen cars started the feature.

Justin McCoy, No. 410, came up a little light on the scales.

Gregory Muirhead, No. 22, was second, Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was third, James Skinner, No. 17s, was fourth, and Jon White Jr., No. 8j, was fifth. Todd West, Justin Hossler, Don Owens, Darrell Franklin, and Eddie Leithner, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

John Gober was the Modified winner on the opening night of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park

A great crowd was on hand for opening night at Kennedale Speedway Park.

Mother Nature wasn’t quite ready for racing! The first two scheduled events of the 2019 season at Kennedale Speedway Park were cancelled due to the weather. Although there had been some rain in the area, Kennedale Speedway Park was finally able to get the 2019 racing season up and running! Six classes of cars, including the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, IMCA Sport Compacts, plus the Jr. Mini Stocks, made up Saturdays Showcard which was topped off by a wild and crazy Trailer Race! Check out all the exciting racing action and family fun from Saturday night below!

Next Friday, March 15, Kennedale Speedway Park will host the United States Modified Series (USMTS)! Also on Friday’s program, are the Limited Modifieds, and the Factory Stocks. You don’t want to miss this exciting show! For the latest USMTS information, go to: www.usmts.com

Kevin Ramey was the ASCS Elite Non-wing Sprint $1,200 feature winner at Heart O Texas Speedway

Heart O Texas Speedway hosted the 3rd Annual Gordon Woolley Classic Friday night. Gordon Woolley was a champion racer and is an original inductee of the HOT Wall of Fame. The Gordon Woolley Classic featured the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Sprint Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating! It was the 2019 opening night for the Sprint series, their first scheduled race was rained out, and a solid field of Thirty-two Sprints were in the pits including last years feature winner Kyle Jones. Along with the exciting Non-Wing Sprints, Heart O Texas Speedway had a full race program that included six classes of cars, the “Ground Pounding” IMCA Modifieds, Southern SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Outlaw Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Jr. Mini Stocks. Having a strong run for second, Michael Day, No. 2, Scott Evans, No. 118, was third, Justin Fifield, No. 49f, was fourth and Michelle Melton, No. 21, was fifth. Paul White, Claud Estes III, Jarrod Jennings, Quinton Benson, and Kelly Lockey, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-cars started the feature. There were thirty-two Sprints in the pits.

Michael Day had a strong run for second.

Scott Evans rounded out the top three.

Dustyn Welch was involved in a bad wreck in his heat race.

Heart O Texas Speedway kicked off their 53rd consecutive racing season with the Annual Jack Bagby Memorial Race. Jack was a successful car owner and strong supporter of Heart O Texas Speedway for many years and is a member of the Wall of Fame. It was a chilly night, but the race fans heated up to some HOT racing action that consisted of seven classes of cars that included a new class this season the IMCA Sport Compacts. A good field of seventeen IMCA Modifieds were racing for $1,000 to win!

Next Friday, March 8, Heart O Texas Speedway will host another exciting program. The Annual Gordon Woolley Classic featuring the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Sprint Car Series. You don’t want to miss this one! Check out all the exciting racing action and family fun below from Friday night!

Modified Feature Winner: Jeff Hoegh, No. 97j, said that they had been trying to win of one of these for about four years! Jeff mentioned that "CAM Chassis" Chase Allen had built him a new car for 2019. It looks like it paid off. Jeff held off Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, and led all twenty-laps of the feature for the exciting $1,000 Jack Bagley Memorial IMCA Modified win. Having a strong run for third was Chris Morris, No. 94, David Goode Jr., No. 7g, was fourth and Kevin Green, No. 5, was fifth. J. Radcliff, C. Daniel, M. Carrell, D. Goode Sr., and M. McCarthy, rounded out the top ten. Seventeen cars started the feature.

Chris Morris, No. 94, had a solid run for third in his new IMCA Modified.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, is on a roll! Jeffrey picked up another Istock feature win for the young season! Jason Batt, No. 9, was a close second, Damon Hammond, No. 116, was third, Westin Abbey, No. 12, was fourth and Travis Norman, No. 3x, was fifth. D. Kennemer, E. Thompson, B. Owens, R. Vann, and A. J. Dancer, rounded out the top ten. Twelve cars started the feature.

Street Stock Feature Winner: Wade White, No. 68, picked up where he left off last year. Wade got another feature win! Kevin Smith, No. 57, was third, David Khoury, No. 173, was fourth and Jerry Frydrych, No. 13, rounded out the top five. E. Thompson, B. Gaston, C. Cockrell, K. Boytis, and D. Garcia rounded out the top ten. Fifteen cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: A good race between Dalton Faulkner, No. 27, and Shannon Dulock, No. 47. Dalton took the exciting Factory Stock feature. Melvin Kemp Jr., No. 54, was third, Cameron Cook, No. 04, was fourth and Westin Abbey, No. 77w, was fifth. N. Dixon, K. Ramey. A. Simcik, M. Guenat, and S. McFarlin, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-eight Factory Stocks were in the pits.

Sport Compact Feature Winner: Brian Schoemnbaum Jr., No. 719, got passed Derek Cates, No. 580, on the last lap, for the feature win. Dan Webre, No. 481, Steven Bevills, No. 7s, Jack Lewis, No. 97, Anthony Vandenberg, No. 99, Zach Martin, No. 361z, and Gage Fuller, No. 91, rounded out the field.
