Drag Racing is the quickest and fastest form of motorsport! Cars exceed speeds of 320 mph. Engines roar with 8,000 horsepower. Flames blast out of the pipes, propelling drivers as quickly as 0-100 mph in less than half a second. All of this can be seen at the Texas Motorplex this Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 4-7.
The AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals is the fastest race in Texas and is held at the Texas Motorplex every year in Ennis, TX. The Motorplex is an all-concrete quarter-mile drag racing facility that opened in 1986, becoming the first super-stadium built specifically for drag racing. The Motorplex has hosted national event racing since 1986 and has been the site of record-breaking passes, championship-clinching performances and jaw-dropping events.
The AAA Texas NHRA Fall nationals features some of the biggest names in racing, the winningest driver in motorsports history, John Force, Austin resident Tony Schumacher and many more stars of the quickest and fastest motorsport.
Tickets for the 2018 AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals are on sale now with prices ranging from just $16 on Thursday pit side up to $400 for VIP weekend packages. Youth tickets for children 12 and under start as low as $8.

Eddie McDow will be competing in the NHRA Division 4 Super Gas this weekend at the Motorplex.
Waco’s Eddie McDow began his racing career over 40 years ago in racing brackets, which is considered the grass roots level of drag racing. He then moved up to the NHRA super classes and raced in the Super Gas. Following his stint in Super Gas, Eddie went on to build a Top Sportsman car and competed in the Championship Bracket Racers Association, finishing No. 2 in the series in 1990. The following year he competed in the “Outlaw” Pro Stock cars and again finished second in that series two years in-a-row. Always wanting to go faster, Eddie moved up to the exciting “Outlaw”Fuel Altereds for two seasons and finished in the top five. After several years, Eddie is competing in the tough NHRA Division 4 Lucas Oil Series in Super Gas/9.90/170 mph, in his Charlie Stewart’s ’63 Corvette Roadster. His car is powered by a 615 cubic inch Reher and Morrison, big block Chevy. Eddie McDow will be racing at the Texas Motorplex AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals this weekend.
