Heart O Texas Speedway (Elm, Mott, TX) August 31 (Friday)
Heart O Texas Speedway was attempting to host the Race of Champions plus the Lucas Oil POWRi Align Pro Lonestar 600's presented by K&K Earthworks Mini Sprints! It was shaping up to be an exciting night of racing with a good field of forty-nine Mini Sprints in the pits! Heart O Texas Speedway was able to get the IMCA Southern SportMod feature in and had just started the Outlaw Street Stock feature when it started to rain and the races were cancelled. The Race of Champions have been rescheduled for Friday, September 14.
There was a good field of thirty-five 600 A-class Mini Sprints in the pits.

The Lucas Oil POWRi Align Pro Lonestar 600's presented by K&K Earthworks Labor Day Spectacular continues Saturday, September 1, at 105 Speedway, in Cleveland, TX.
SportMod Feature Winner: This has been an outstanding season for Gabe Tucker, No. 95, Southern SportMod! Gabe picked up his sixth feature win of the season and the 2018 HOT Southern SportMod Championship! He is also currently leading in IMCA National points! Friday night Jeff Shepperd, No. 17, was second, Taylor Florio, No. 21t, was third, James Hanusch, No. 777, was fourth and Rob Bland, No. 16x, was fifth. Kaden Honeycutt, Chris Cogburn, Bobby Mercer, Kirby Honeycutt, Collin Montgomery, and Brandon Geurin, rounded out the field. Eleven cars started the feature.

Outlaw Stock Car Feature Winner: Wade White, No. 68, was your leader in the Outlaw Street Stock feature when the rain started. The feature was called due to the rain and will be made up Friday, September 14.

Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale) August 25 (Saturday)
Beautiful weather returned to Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night after two weeks of rainy weather. A good crowd was on hand to see the return of the IMCA 305 Sprints and the 600 A-class Mini Sprints. A good field of sixteen Sprints and seventeen 600 A-class Mini Sprints were in the pit. Along with the Sprints, were the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Mini Stocks. Check out all the exciting racing action and close finishes from Saturday night below!
Sprint Feature Winner: Chrstian Kinnison, No. 82c, was your Sprint feature winner! Kyle Jones, No. 04, had a good run for second, Casey Burkham, No. 45b, was third, Bryan Debrick, No. 10x, was fourth and Chad Wilson, No. 20, was fifth. Randy Henderson, Logan Scherb, Lucas Scherb, Casey Merrell, and Blake Baccus, rounded out the top ten. Fifteen cars started the feature.

Modified Feature Winner: Matt Guillaume, No. 50, appeared to get the win, but was later DQ'd! Cody Shoemaker, No. 54, got the win, Chris Morris, No. 94, drove a good race for second, Cody Tidwell, No. 17, was third, Marvin Skinner, No. 27s, was fourth and Matt Martin, No. 11, was fifth. Jay Bransom, Mitch McMillin, Erik Miles, Raymond McSpadden, and Chris Clark, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen cars started the feature.

It was “Muscling in the Dirt for a Cure” MDA event at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association that does so much for people with neuromuscular diseases. Along with the MDA Night, Heart O Texas Speedway hosted the exciting 360 C.I. winged Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series! The SCB series make their third and final appearance of the season at Heart o Texas Speedway. A good field of nineteen cars were in the pits. Along with the Sprints, were the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Outlaw Street Stocks, and Factory Stocks. Check out all the racing action and family fun below:
Sprint Feature Winner: Veteran Claud Estes III, No. 74e, said that Heart O Texas Speedway was his favorite dirt track! Claud took the lead with less than ten laps to go, in the $1,200 to win, 25-lap feature and held off Jason Howell, No. 44, for the exciting feature win. Colby Estes, No. 72, dove a good race, but settled for third. Jeb Sessions, No. 01j, was fourth and Tyson Hall, No. 5x, was fifth. Dale Wester, Christian Kinnison, Junior Jenkins, Chad Wilson, and Will Eggimann, rounded out the top ten, Nineteen cars started the feature.
Jason Howell No. 44 had a strong run for second.

The LoneStar Dwarf Car Club returned toKennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. They always put on a good show for the race fans. Despite some weather in the area, Kennedale Speedway Park was up and running after last weeks welcome rain washed the races out. Along with the LoneStar Dwarf Cars, Kennedale Speedway Park had a full racing program that included the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Mini Stocks! During intermission, the kids enjoyed the Box Car races and the school backpack give-a-ways!
SportMod Feature Winner: Justin Nabors, No. 28j, was your SportMod feature winner! Justin Long, No. 42, was second, Chris Cogburn, No. 601, was third, Brett Young, No. 69y, was fourth and James McCreery, No. 13j, was fifth. It took three tries for the Wild Bill White Shootout at Heart O Texas Speedway, but it was worth it! Mother Nature was the winner the two previous scheduled times. Friday night the race fans got to enjoy one of the biggest and best HOT shows of the season! Along with the inaugural Wild Bill White Shootout, honoring a racing legend and original member of the HOT Wall of Fame, Heart O Texas Speedway featured the Lucas Oil POWRi Elite Non-Wing Sprint Car Series, along with the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Outlaw Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, Jr. Mini Stocks plus the LoneStar Dwarf Car Club. During intermission the kids got a chance to pick up some coins and candy during the Kids Silver Rush sponsored by Mars Wrigley Confectionary (M&M Mars) and win a school backpack. Sprint Feature Winner: Michelle Melton, No. 21, was involved in a bad wreck at HOT last week. Thankfully she is doing fine. Her brother Justin Meltin, No. M1, is doing fine also. He took the lead half way through the 20-lap, $1,000 to win feature and held off Gary Floyd, No. 58, for the exciting feature win! R.J. Miller, No. 30, was third, veteran Paul White, No. 1, was fourth and Jason Tyer, No. 22, was fifth. J.D. Fry, Kyle Jones, Stephen Smith, Jarrod Jennings, and Christian Moore, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen Sprints started the feature.

Heart O Texas Speedway attempted to host the Wild Bill White Shootout for the second time this season, but Mother Nature won out both times! Friday night it rained off and on, but Heart O Texas Speedway managed to get in several heat races before the races were called due to the weather. It was shaping up to be a exciting night of racing, but during the second of three heats, for the Lucas Oil POWRi Non-Wing Elite Sprints Cars, Flower Mound, TX, Michelle Melton, No. 21, took a wild ride in turn 1. Modified Feature Winner: Chad Melton, No. 71, did everything but win the IMCA Modified 20-lap feature. On the last lap, coming out of turn 4, Matt Martin, No. 11, slipped under Chad Melton for the exciting Modified feature win! Stock Car Feature Winner: Shawn Mize, No. 12, took the early lead and went on to get his second feature win of the season! Jay Bransom, No. 29, was a close second, Craig Moss, No. 25, had a good run for third, Jacob Pirkle, No. 6r, was fourth and Colton Obregon, No. 39c, was fifth. Jerrett Bransom, Clint Nabors, Kirk Martin, Darryl Campbell, and Brad Eckstrom, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: It was another wild Kennedale Speedway Park Factory Stock feature! Several cars battled for the win, with Brett McMillin, No. 61, taking the checkered flag. Casey Lyles, No. 127, had a strong run for second, Jordan Hefler, No. 2, settled for third, Trey Smitherman, No. 96, was fourth, and Sean hill, No. 504, was fifth. Jonathan Capps, Kyle Robillard, Frank Lackey, Kenny Magar, and Frank Seales, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-five cars started the feature.

Jr. Mini Stock Feature Winner: Eric Nieto, No. 53, was your feature winner. Jimmy Rawlins, Justin Anderson, Brody Tarrant, Hailee Nieto, and William Holland, rounded out the field.
Dwarf Car Feature Winner: Good race between Dallas Patterson, No. 32, Joe Sheddan, No. 00 and Jeffrey Patterson, No. 27p. Dallas Patterson picked up the feature win! Sheddan, settled for second, and Jeffrey Patterson ended up third, Scott Prejean, No. 71, was fourth and Louie Yount, No. 5, was fifth.
