Blake Edwards wins Red River Shootout POWRi Midget feature at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night

Kennedale Speedway Park hosted the Freedom 25 Midget Championships Saturday night! The Lucas Oil West Midget League POWRi Midgets presented by Executive Concrete NWA featured some of the best Midget drivers in the region! This was the second night of the mighty Midgets Red River Shootout! Kennedale's Kyle Jones, driving the Trifecta Motorsports, No. 7u, picked up his first POWRi Midgets feature win of the season in taking the 25-lap, $1,200 to win feature at RPM Speedway Friday night. This exciting showcard also included the IMCA Modifieds, who were running for an additional $1,500 thanks to Photos By Mike Frieri, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, plus the $1,000 to win Non-Winged A-class 600s! Midget Feature Winner: Hank Davis, No. 42, from Sand Springs, OK, seemed to have this race well in hand, but twelve laps into the 25-lap feature, Hank clipped a tire coming out of turn 4 causing a caution. Several cars swapped the lead, until Claremore, OK, Blake Edwards, No. 17e, took over the point and picked up his first POWRi West win of the season! Jeb Sessums, No. 1h, ended up second and last nights feature winner at RPM Speedway, Kyle Jones, No. 7u, took the third spot. Wesley Smith, No. 44, was fourth, and Weston Gorham, No. 71wg, was fifth. Payton Pierce, Hank Davis, Hannah Adair,  Craig Oakes, Josh Hawkins, Kory Schudy, Kade Taylor, Geo White, Hunter Fischer, A.J. Burns, Doug McCune, Justin Melton, Grady Chandler, Brendon Wiseley, and Michelle Melton, rounded out the field. Twenty-cars started the feature.

Jeb Sessums No. 1h finished second. 

Kyle Jones No. 7u finished third.

Justin Melton was involved in a wreck during the feature.

Modified Feature Winner: Chad Melton, No. 71, picked up his fourth IMCA Modified feature win of the season. Matt Guillaume, No. 50, had a good run for second, Pat McGuire, No. 9, was third, Demetrius Carter, No. 44, was fourth and Tommy Williams Jr., No. 151, was fifth. Mitch McMillin, Robert McKinney, Marvin Skinner, Jay Bransom, and Jimmy Littlejohn, rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature. SportMod Feature Winner: Jacob Pirkle, No. 141, was your feature winner. James Skinner, No. 17s, was second, Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was third, Bret Young, No. 69y, was fourth and Gary Fox, No. 12, was fifth. "Flyin" Ryan Powers, Casey Brunson, Will Fritchen, Terrell Evans, and John South, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: In one of the closest races of the evening, Jacob Pirkle, No. 6r, picked up his second feature win of the evening by defeating Damon Hammond, No. 116, by a bumper to take the exciting Istock feature win! Clint Nabors, No. 95, was third, Blake Clark, No. 88, was fourth and Gary Nabors, No. 59, was fifth. Jerrett Bransom, Jay Bransom, "Destroyer Chassis" Darryl Campbell, Justin Bruce, and Rhea Toney, rounded out the top ten. Thirteen cars started the feature. 

Jacob Pirkle defeated Damon Hammond by a bumper.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Jordan Hefler, No. 2j, drove a good race, but Chase Neill, No. 416, got past him for the feature win. Shane Ellis, No. 84s, was third, Tim Holder, No. 8h, was fourth and Sean Hill, No. 504, was fifth. Brett McMillin, Tommy Williams Jr., Jason Cook, Royce Barber, and Kyle Robillard, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Non-Winged A class 600 Feature Winner: Johnny Boland, No. 1v, was the $1,000 feature winner. Stephen Smith, No. 3s, was second, Kyle Jones, No. 04, was third, Bryan Debrick, No. 10, was fourth and Chance Hull, No. 1x, was fifth. Jason Tyer, Matt Ebarb, Weston Gorham, Margan Roan, and Kade Taylor, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-cars started the feature.

The NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) made their first appearance of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night! Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, picked up his first NCRA Sprint Car Bandit (SCB) feature win! That was the 10th different feature winner out of eleven events for the SCB series! Along with the Sprint Bandits, were the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and the Jr. Mini Stocks! Kennedale Speedway Park also hosted a Big Car Demolition Derby! 

Sprint Car Bandits next race is Saturday, June 30, the Firecracker 25, at LoneStar Speedway, Kilgore, TX. $2,000/win, $300/start! For more information, go to: www.sprintcarbandits.com

Sprint Car Bandit Feature Winner: It was smooth sailing for Jeb Sessums, No. 01j! Jeb held off running mate, Kyle Jones, No. 04, to take the 25 lap, $2,000 to win, Sprint Car Bandit feature. This was Jeb's first SCB series feature win! Having a good run for third was Chad Wilson, No. 20, Logan Scherb, No. 18, was fourth and Christian Kennison, No. 82c, was fifth. Jason Howell, Claud Estes III, George White, Dustin Woods, and current points leader Colby Estes, rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature. There were thirty Sprint cars in the pit.

Modified Feature Winner: No brag, just fact! Chris Bragg, No. 24b, held off Chad Melton, No. 71, for the IMCA Modified feature win! Jay Bransom, No. 29, was third, Matt Guillaume, No. 50, was fourth and Marvin Skinner, No. 27s, was fifth. Robert McKinney, Derek Scott Jr., Erik Miles, and Mitch McMillin, rounded out the top ten. SportMod Feature Winner: It wasn't looking to good for Kevin Crawford Jr., No. 06, with a few laps to go in the 20-lap SportMod feature. There was a fire under his hood, smoke coming out the rear of his race car, but Kevin managed to keep it going to pickup his second feature win in-a-row! Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was a close second, Jacob Pirkle, No. 141, had a strong run for third, Glen Hibbard, No. 127, was fourth and Michael Martin, No. 31, was fifth. James Willis, John Freeman, Karl Rupp, James Skinner, and Kamera McDonald, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-four cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Clint Nabors, No. 95, was your feature winner. Dale Wester was the Sprint Car Bandit $1,200 feature winner at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night

The NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) Series returned to Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night! A good field of twenty Sprint Cars competed in the 20-lap, $1,200 to win feature! Along with the 360 C.I. Sprint Car Bandits, were the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Southern SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Outlaw Street Stocks, and Factory Stocks! Heart O Texas Speedway also hosted the Children’s Tumor Foundation Night. Thanks to everyone who donated to this great cause. Sprint Car Bandit Feature Winner: A good race between Dale Wester, No. 12w, and Claud Estes III, No. 74e. With a few laps to go, in the 20-lap feature, Dale slipped past Claud to pick up his first ever SCB series feature win! Claud settled for second, Daniel Estes, No. 74, was third, Ryan Hall, No. 79, was fourth and current points leader Colby Estes, No. 72, was fifth. Scott Evans, Bobby Middleton, Dalton Stevens, Justin Fifield, and Shane Gloeckler, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-cars started the feature. There were twenty-four Sprints in the pit.

Dale Wester, Claud Estes III, Daniel Estes, Ryan Hall, and Colby Estes top five finishers.

Chad Ewell was involved in a wreck during hot laps.

SportMod Feature Winner: No. 777, has not been very lucky for James Hanusch this year. James mentioned that he had gone through three motors this season! Friday night his luck changed. James picked up the IMCA SportMod feature. Sid Kiphen, No. 58, was coming on strong, but ended up second, Gabe Tucker, No. 95, had a good run for third, Eddie Grmela, No. 11g, was fourth and Taylor Florio, No. 21t, was fifth. Brandon Geurin, Jeff Shepperd, James Skinner, Ronnie Bell Jr., and Garett Rawls, rounded out the top ten. Seventeen cars started the feature.

Mike Perlin, Scott Prejean, Richard Brooker, Carl Davis, and Michael Dodd, rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature.

Heart O Texas Speedway kicked off the Fathers Day weekend Friday night! All weekly divisions, including the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Southern SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Outlaw Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, and the Jr. Mini Stocks, were in action! During intermission the men were invited onto the track for the Hoosier Daddy Tire Toss! The winner who threw the tire the farthest received $100. Harrison Longcrier was the Hoosier Daddy Tire Toss winner! Check out all the racing action and family fun from Friday night below!

Modified Feature Winner: Good race between Kevin Green, No. 5, and Raymond McSpadden, No. 48! Kevin got past Raymond with a couple of laps to go in the 20-lap Modified feature for the exciting win. Chris Morris, No. 94, came on strong for third, Cody Tidwell, No. 17, was fourth and Dwayne Grantham, No. 27g, was fifth. Eric Tomlinson, Justin Radcliff, David Goode Sr., Rob Slott, and Cody Daniel rounded out the top ten. Twelve cars started the feature.

The IMCA RaceSaver 305 Sprints returned to Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night! Along with the Sprint Cars, there were the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and the Jr. Mini Stocks! Despite the hot weather a nice crowd was on hand to watch some exciting races! Check out all the racing action from Saturday night below:

William McGuire, No. 9m, had a good run for second, Chris Bragg, No. 24b, was third, Jay Bransom, No. 29, was fourth and Matt Guillaume, No. 50, was fifth. Danny Rodgers, Mitch McMillin, Marvin Skinner, Brad Doherty, and Matt Martin, rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature.

SportMod Feature Winner: A good race between Jake Upchurch, No. 24, and Glen Hibbard, No. 127. Jake held off Glen for the SportMod feature win! Kevin Roland, No. 4r, was third, James Skinner, No. 17, was fourth and Gary Fox, No. 12, was fifth. James McCreery, Chris Cogburn, Ronnie Allison, Don Owens, and Casey Brunson, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Dean Abbey, No. 26, held off Duain Pritchett, No. 21, for the feature win! Damon Hammond, No. 116, was third, Billy Wade, No. 221, was fourth, and Gary Nabors, No. 59, was fifth. Darryl Campbell, Tyler Muirhead, Justin Bruce,  Jerrett Bransom, and Shawn Mize, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Tommy Williams Jr., No. 151, took the Factory Stock feature win! Heart O Texas Speedway was back in action Friday night after a week off! All the weekly divisions, including the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Southern SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and the Jr. Mini Stocks, were on the show card plus the LoneStar Dwarf Car Club! During intermission the kids enjoyed the Power Wheel Races plus several lucky kids won bicycles! Check out all the racing action from Friday night below!

Modified Feature Winner: Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, was the IMCA Modified feature winner. Kevin Green, No. 5, was second, Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, was third, Cody Tidwell, No. 17, was fourth and Dwayne Grantham, No. 27g, was fifth. Rob Slott, Cody Daniels, David Goode Sr., Brent Gillian, Raymond McSpadden, and Chris Morris rounded out the field. Eleven cars started the feature.

SportMod Feature Winner: Good race between Garett Rawls, No. 4g, and Gabe Tucker, No. 95. Garett held off Gabe for the exciting feature win. James Hanusch, No. 777, was third, Taylor Florio, No. 21t, had a good run for fourth and Jeff Shepperd, No. 17, was fifth. Dillion Smith, No. 03e, was second, Joe O'Bryan, No. 14, was third, Robert Black, No. 07, was fourth and Travis Norman, No. 3x, was fifth. Andy Roller, Bryce Burden, John Frydrych, and Roeert Black Jr., rounded out the field. Nine cars started the feature.

Jr. Mini Stock Feature Winner: Austin Moore, No. 88, made it five feature wins this season! Jesse Shepperd, No. 17, was second, Corbin Willett, No. 3, was third, Trevor Cogburn, No. 601, was fourth and Alysha McCartney, No. 19, was fifth.  

Dwarf Car Feature Winner: Several cars battled for the Dwarf Car feature win! Ryan Stoy, No. 20, Scott Prejean, No. 71, Adam Segura, No. 0, each took turns leading the 20-lap feature. When the checkered flag fell, Ryan Stoy, No. 20, was the feature winner. Jeff Patterson, No. 17, came on strong at the end to take second, Scott Prejean, No. 71, settled for third, David Garland, No. 84, had a good run for fourth and Adam Segura, No. 0, ended up fifth. Blake Patterson, Dallas Patterson, Joe Sheddan, Richard Brooker, and Louie Yount, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-four cars started the feature.

It is First Responders Night at Boyd Raceway this Friday! Race fans will be honoring all first responders for all they do for us. Boyd Raceway will have a full race program, including the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and the IMCA Sport Compacts, plus the Texas Sprint Series! TSS is a closed Sprint Series that features the IMCA RaceSaver 305 Sprints! Gates 6 pm. Races 8 pm.
