Kennedale Speedway Park wrapped up their 2017 racing season Saturday night with the Annual Summit Racing Equipment Showdown. A great crowd was on hand, along with a great car count, to watch five classes of cars compete. The IMCA Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars and the Factory Stocks plus the exciting Trailer Race! CAM Chassis Chase Allen, No. 130, was the big winner. Chase took home the $2,500 Modified feature prize. Kennedale Speedway Park would like to thank all our racers and fans for making this season a success! We look forward to an exciting racing season in 2018!
Modified Feature Winner: CAM Chassis Chase Allen, No. 130, held off Chris Elliott, No. 915, for the 25-lap, $2,500 feature win! Chad Melton, No. 71, had a good run for third, Abilene's Josh McGaha, No. 911, was fourth and Chris Bragg, No. 24b, was fifth. P.J. Egbert, M. Skinner, J. Bransom, D. Pike, and M. Guillaume, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.
Chad Melton had a strong top five finish.
Great to see Chris Morris back at KSP.

Sprint Feature Winner: The 2017 IMCA National Sprint Champion and 2017 KSP Sprint Champion Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, was the $1,500 feature winner. Chad Wilson, No. 20, was second, Kyle Jones, No. 04, was third, Anton Hernandez, No. 11th, was fourth and Colby Estes, No. 74e, was fifth. Lucas Scherb, Logan Scherb, C. Estes, J. Howell, and J.D. Fry, rounded out the top ten. Twenty cars started the feature.

SportMod Feature Winner: A good race between J.C. Howell, No. 103, and Justin Nabors, No. 28j. J.C. took the $1,500 prize. Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was third, John Freeman, No. 21f, was fourth and Michael Martin, No. 31, was fifth. K. Wisdom, T. Muirhead, K. Rupp, B. Ortega, and J. Skinner, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Jay Bransom, No. 29, was the feature winner. Dan Day, No. 54, was second, Benji Kirkpatrick, No. 4725, was third, Dillon Smith, No. 03e, was fourth and Damon Hammond, No. 116, was fifth. T. Muirhead, C. Moss, J. Schoenberger, A. Benedict, and C. Crenshaw, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Chase Neill, No. 14, was the feature winner. Brett McMillin, No. 4*, was close, but settled for second. Tommy Williams Jr., No. 151, was third, Duane Wolff, No. 10, was fourth, and A.J. Gardner, No. 21, was fifth. G. Gafford, J. Holder, K. Manning, K. Mager, and C. Lough, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.
