2017 Track Champions were crowned at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night

It was the final points night of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. A nice crowd was on hand along with seven classes of cars. The guest class this week was the 600 A-class Mini Sprints along with Kennedale Speedway Parks regular classes. The IMCA Modifieds, RaceSaver Sprints, SportMods, Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Mini Stocks! Next week the 2017 racing season concludes with the 11th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Showdown that will run next Thursday-Saturday, September 28-30!

Matt Guillaume got a second in the Mod feature, but is 2017 Champion!

Modified Feature Winner: Nicholas Littlejohn, No. 51, held off the 2017 Modified Champion Matt Guillaume, No. 50, for the win. Jason Hunter, No. 13h, was third, Chad Melton, No. 71, was fourth and Charlie Thieme, No. t9, was fifth. "Destroyer Chassis" D. Campbell, M. Skinner, C. Clark, A. Gooding, and C. Lyles, rounded out the top ten. Fourteen cars started the feature.

Sprint Feature Winner: The track was fast! The preferred line was the high line. Veteran George White, No. 10, held off the 2017 Sprint Champion Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, for the exciting win. Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was third, Kyle Jones, No. 04, was fourth and Anton Hernadez, No. 11tx, was fifth. W. Gorham, C. Estes, J. Ricketts, B. Odom, and J. Long, rounded out the top ten. Thirteen cars started the feature.

SportMod Feature Winner: A good race between John Rabozzi, No. 90, James Skinner, No. 17s, and Karl Rupp, No. 42. When the checkered flag dropped, John was the winner, James was second, Corey Williams, No. 511, was third, Karl ended up fourth and John Freeman, No. 21f, was fifth. M. Doescher, D. Cavanagh, K. Manning, K. McDonald, and C. Brunson, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: "Destroyer Chassis" Darryl Campbell, No. 83, got past Damon Hammond, No. 116, for the feature win. Craig Moss, No. 25, was third, Rhea Toney, No. 86, was fourth and Demetrius Carter, No. 3, was fifth. Jerrett Bransom, W. Ingram, B. Taylor, B. Clark, and Jay Bransom, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Brett McMillin, No. 61, defeated George Gafford, No. 85, for the win. 2017 Champion A.J. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

The 2017 racing season is winding down at Kennedale Speedway Park. Saturday night, seven classes of cars competed including the IMCA Modifieds, RaceSaver Sprints, SportMods, Stock Cars, Factory Stocks, Jr. Mini Stocks plus the Lone Star Dwarf Car Club! Next week is the final points night at KSP and will feature a full race program plus the 600 A-class Mini Sprints! The 2017 racing season concludes with the 10th Annual Kennedale Speedway Park Showdown that will run September 28-30!

Modified Feature Winner: It took four laps, but Matt Guillaume, No. 50, took to the high side, coming out of turn 2, to take the lead in the 20-lap Modified feature. CAM Chassis Chase Allen, No. 13, was closing fast, but on the last lap, Chase spun out in turn 4. Chad Melton, No. 71, ended up second, Charlie Thieme, No. t9, was third, Jay Bransom, No. 29, was fourth and Jeff Hoegh, No. 97j, was fifth. M. McMillin, D. Rodgers, M. Skinner, J. Littlejohn, and "Destroyer Chassis" D. Campbell, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-one cars started the feature. 

Good run by Chad Melton for second.

Jeff Hoegh, No. 97j, had a top five finish.

Good to see Danny Rodgers back in a Modified.

Sprint Feature Winner: Current points leader Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, was the run-a-way winner. Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was second, Logan Scherb, No. 18, was third, Byan Debrick, No. 10x, was fourth and Tyler Russell, No. 8kk, was fifth. C. Scherb, Shane, L. Scherb, B. Odom, and B. Baccus, rounded out the top ten. Seventeen cars started the feature.

SportMod Feature Winner: There was some bumping and grinding going on in the 20-lap SportMod feature. J.C. Howell, No. 103, managed to hold off a strong field for the exciting feature win. Kevin Crawford Jr., No. 06, was second, Justin Nabors, No. 28j, was third, James Skinner, No. 17s, was fourth and Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was fifth. G. Muirhead, J. Freeman, J. McCreery, T. Webb, and K. McDonald, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature. There were thirty-two SportMods in the pits.

Stock Car Feature Winner: In one of best races of the evening, Matt Guillaume, No. 12c, picked up his second feature win of the night, by slipping past Jay Bransom, No. 29, at the finish line for the exciting feature win. Wesley Ingram, No. 6r, was third, Aaron Benedict, No. 77a, was fourth and Jerrett Bransom, No. 28, was fifth. R. Garcia, M. Goldstein, D. Pritchett, R. Warren, and G. Nabors, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Aaron Benedict had a top five finish.

Sean Hill looked to have his third feature win-a-row, but was DQ'd.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: It appeared that Sean Hill, No. 504, got his third feature win-a-row, but he was later DQ'd. Tommy Williams Jr., No. 151, ended up with the feature winner. "Flyin" Ryan Powers, No. r12, was second, Brett McMillin, No. 61, was third, Jonathan Capps, No. 5j, was fourth and A.J. Gardner, No. 21, was fifth. J. Cook, S. Ashcraft, T. Murry, M. Mason, and A. Benedict, rounded out your top ten. Twenty cars started the feature.

Dwarf Car Feature Winner: Fourteen cars started the feature, Six finished! When the checkered flag dropped, David Garland, No. 84, got the win. Carl Davis, No. 81, was second, Ty McCoy, No. 4, was third, No. 18, was fourth and No. 43, was fifth. Trey Hatfield, No. 73, Ryan Stoy, No. 20, B.J. Andrew, No. 28, Brandon Hannah, No. 82, and Scott Prejean, No. 71, rounded out the top ten. Fourteen cars started the feature.

Chris Hennigan won the $1,500 TOMS Modified feature race at Kennedale Speedway Park

Chris Hennigan was the TOMS Modified feature winner.

The Touring Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) made it’s first appearance at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. There were thirty-nine cars in the pits including current TOMS points leader Triston Dycus and veteran Troy Taylor who is currently in second place in points! Along with the TOMS series, there were the Winged Modifieds, STEMS Modifieds, Factory Stocks and the Non-Winged 600 A-class. Next week KSP will feature a full race program plus the Dwarf cars!

TOMS Modified Feature Winner: Chris Hennigan, No. 16, was the $1,500, 25-lap, feature winner. Current TOMS points leader Triston Dycus, No. 14t, was second, Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, was third, veteran Troy Taylor, No. 56, lead the first six laps, but settled for fourth and C.A. Nix, No. 34n, was fifth. J. Knight, S. Jones, C. Howell, D. Veal, and P. Daniel, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, settled for third.

Fan favorite Troy Taylor, No. 56, had a top five finish.

Winged Modified Feature Winner: Dustin Mooney, No. 5, was the feature winner. Raven Culp, No. 43, was second, Tex Adrien, No. 76, was third, Nick Cooper, No. 77, was fourth and Kadel Kolar, No. 33, was fifth. K. Keimig, S. Adrien, T. White, M. Zoeller, and T. White, rounded out the top ten. Thirteen cars started the feature.

Justin Whitehead was the big winner at Heart O Texas Speedways Southern Nationals

Heart O Texas Speedway, in Elm Mott, TX, hosted the inaugural Southern Nationals by C&J Promotions! Thursday was the first of three nights of racing. Over two hundred race teams were in the pits. Racing continues Friday night with more qualifying races and Saturday night with last chance races and the $10,000 to win SportMod finale! Running with the Southern SportMods, are the Factory Stocks. The Factory Stocks will run a feature race each night with Saturday nights feature winner taking home $1,000!

RPM Speedway hosted the sixth Annual David Pope Memorial honoring the late No. 54

Clyde Dunn Jr. was the TOMS Modified feature winner.

RPM Speedway, in Crandall, TX, held their sixth Annual David Pope Memorial Race Sunday night. A great crowd was on hand along with four classes of race cars. The featured class was the Touring Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) along with the Sprints, Limited Modifieds, and Factory Stocks! There were over one hundred and seventy cars in the pits and they were there to honor the late David Pope. David grew up in Greenville, TX, and was a successful East Texas business man. He raced the yellow No. 54 nick named the "Love Bandit"!

TOMS Modified Feature Winner: Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, was "Freaky Fast" in the 35-lap TOMS Modified main event. Clyde started on the pole and lead every lap to take the $3,000 feature win. Bobby Malchus, No. 4m, was second, Sean Jones, No. 24, was third, Wesley Veal, No. 11x, was fourth and TOMS Saturday night feature winner Triston Dycus, No. 14t, was fifth. T. Hyde, M. Williams, P. Daniel, B. Ruffin, and C.A. Nix, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-three cars started the feature. Clyde Dunn Jr. also won the first David Pope Memorial race!

Sean Jones came in third in the feature.

Max Eddie Thomas, No. 82, took the thirteenth spot.

Kenny Gaddis, No. 2g, ended up fifteenth.

It was Demolition Derby Night at Kennedale Speedway Park! A great crowd was on hand to see the Demo Derby mayhem! Along with the Demo Derby, KSP had five classes of cars, plus the Lone Star Dwarf Car Club! Next week the Touring Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) will make it’s first appearance of the season at KSP! Modified Feature Winner: Tommy Williams Jr., No. 151, drove a good race, but with seven laps to go, in the 20-lap event, he broke. "Sustaire Plumbing" Kevin Sustaire, No. 71k, powered his way from twelve to first for the feature win. Dillion Pike, No. 6*, drove a strong race for second, Jay Bransom, No. 29, was third, "Destroyer Chassis" Darryl Campbell, No. 83, was fourth and Chris Clark, No. 4m, was fifth. R. McKinney, A. Gooding, C. Thieme, M. McMillin, and C. Shoemaker, rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature.

Dwarf Car Feature Winner: A good race between Chance Hull, No. 17, and Jeff Patterson, No. 27p. Chance took the high road and the feature win. David Garland, No. 84, spun out, went to the rear of the field and still finished third, Ty McCoy, No. 4, was fourth and Dallas Patterson, No. 32, had a strong finish for fifth. Seventeen cars started the feature.

Jr. Mini Stock Feature Winner: Zach Wisdom, No. 91, from Abilene, picked up his first feature win of the season at KSP! Eric Nieto, No. 53, was second, Jimmy Rawlins, No. 8, was third, Jarrett Hefler, No. 88j, was fourth and Gabriel Ponce, No. 2, was fifth. B. Tarrant, R. Mustard, J. Goff, and L. Holland, rounded out the field. Nine cars started the feature.

It was Championship Night and Race of Champions at Heart O Texas Speedway

Eric Tomlinson was the Modified feature winner.

Champions were crowned at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night! It was the final points race of the season for all race divisions. Also on this Championship Night of racing, was the Race of Champions, Mechanic Races and Powder Puff Races! Next week HOT will host the Inaugural Hoosier Tire Southwest Southern Nationals Sept- 6-9! The Southern Nationals will feature the Southern SportMods ($10,000 to win) and the exciting Factory Stocks! Practice starts next Wednesday with racing Thursday-Saturday! 

Modified Feature Winner: It's been a great season for Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t! Eric won the IMCA Modified race Friday night and was crowned the the track Champion also! Eric is now off to Boone, Iowa, for the IMCA Nationals! Brandon Hood, No. 1b, had a good run for second, William McGuire, No. 9, was third, Raymond McSpadden, No. 48r, was fourth and Robert McKinney, No. 119, was fifth. J. Frydrych, P. White, T. Flanagan, C. Clark, and M. Berndt, rounded out the top ten. Fifteen cars started the feature.

Brandon Hood had a solid second.

It was great to see Chris Morris at the track.

Gabe Tucker, No. 95, settled for a close second, Ronnie Bell Jr., No. 95, was third, Chris Cogburn, No. 601, was fourth and Chris Florio, No. 21, was fifth. T. Florio, B. Gould, A. James, R. Head, and N. Buchanan, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen cars started the feature.

Joe O'Bryan, No. 14, was second, Brandon Hood, No. 1b, was third, Edward Harcrow, No. 3h, was fourth and Jeff Blackwood, No. 488, was fifth. C. Pursley, J. Holder, J. Pittman, T. Votaw, and K. Ellis, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-cars started the feature.
