Taylor Florio's first IMCA Southern SportMod feature win at Heart O Texas Speedway

Taylor Florio, No. 21t, picked up her first IMCA Southern SportMod feature win of her career at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night. Taylor appeared to have the race under control, but with one lap to go, in the 20-lap A-main, a caution came out. Taylor got a great jump on the restart and picked up her first SportMod feature win. D.L. Wilson, No. 6w, was second, Sid Kiphen, No. 58, was third, Ronnie Bell Jr., No. 95, was fourth and James Guyton, No. 68, was fifth. C. Cogburn, J. Hanusch, G. Rawls, R. Doyon, and R. Minten, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen cars started the feature.

Modified Feature Winner: CAM Chassis Chase Allen, No. 930, ran away with this one in the 20-lap A-main event. William McGuire, No. 9, settled for second, Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, was third, Kevin Green, No. 5, was fourth and Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, was fifth. W. Gould, J.P. Dowell, R. McSpadden, C. Daniel, and C. Guest, rounded out the top ten. Twelve cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: In one of the best races of the evening, Sam Sovey, No. 771, appeared to beat Benji Kirkpatrick, No. 4725, by a nose for the exciting feature win. Sam was later DQ'ed giving the win to Benji Kirkpatrick. Joe O'Bryan, No. 14, was second, Wade White, No. 68, was third, Ronnie Warren, No. 34w, was fourth and Andy Roller, No. 63, was fifth. R. Black, J. Copeland, J. Frydrych, K. Merritt, and S. Sovey, rounded out the field. Ten cars started the feature.

Hobby Stock Feature Winner: Current points leader Shannon Dulock, No. 47, returned to the winners circle. Jordan Kornegay, No. 21j, was second, Kevin Smith, No. 57, was third, Hayden Wade, No. 8w3, was fourth and Eddie Thompson, No. 10, was fifth. D. Snyder, C. Rawls, J. Williams, J. Hendrix, and S. Robinette, rounded out the field. Ten cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Anthony Simcik, No. 44, appeared to take the win, but he was later DQ'ed, giving the win to current points leader Ryan Hopkins, No. 4. Ray Kemp Jr., 45k, was second, Michael Guenat, No. 25, was third, Nate Dixon, No. 10, was fourth, and William Dean, No. 445, was fifth. B. Gaston, B. Simick, P. Smith, D. Coldiron, A. Sincik, and C. Richardson, rounded out the field. Eleven cars started the feature.

Dwarf Car Feature Winner: Dustin Rude, No. 19r, held off a hard charging David Kulhanek, No. 56, for the feature win. Robert Smith, No. 12x, was third, David Garland, No. 84, who started from the twelfth position, took fourth, and Dallas Patterson, No. 32, was fifth. J. Patterson, D. Booker, T. Miller, R. Stoy, and T. Hatfield, rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature. 

David Kulhanek, No. 56, had a solid run for second.

Mitch McMillins Miracle Modified feature win at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night

What better way to celebrate Fathers Day Weekend, than getting together with the family at Kennendale Speedway Park. A beautiful facility, a great crowd and getting to watch some exciting dirt track racing. KSP hopes their racing family had a great evening and a Happy Fathers Day Weekend to all the fathers!

Modified Feature Winner: Several IMCA Modifieds battled it out in the 20-lap A-main. With five laps to go in the feature event, Justin McCoy, No. 87, managed to take the lead. Sadly on the last lap, Justin broke, giving the lead and the feature win to veteran Mitch McMillin, No. 61. This was Mitch's first feature win of the season. Jay Bransom, No. 29, took second, Jimmy Littlejohn, No. 87L, who had a good run, was third, "Destroyer Chassis" Darryl Campbell, No. 83, was fourth and Robert McKinney, No. 19, was fifth. J. McCoy, M. Guillaume, M. Martin, M. Skinner, and C. Shoemaker, rounded out the top ten. Fifteen cars started the feature.

Sprint Feature Winner: Colby Estes, No. 71, made this one look easy. Corby Scherb, No. 32, settled for second, veteran George White, No. 10, was third, Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, was fourth and Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was fifth. P. Williams, L. Scherb, K. Jones, A. Hernandez, and B. Baccus, rounded out the top ten. Fourteen cars started the feature. 

Marcus Thomas in the Thomas Disposal Sprint had a top five finish.

SportMod Feature Winner: A great race between Michael Martin, No. 31, and James McCreery, No. 13j. James came up a little short. Kevin Manning, No. 8, was third, Kamera McDonald, No. 62k, was fourth and Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was fifth. J. Skinner, C. Burress, W. Cummings, C. Brunson, and J. Coone, rounded out the top ten. Twenty cars started the feature.

Kenny Elwood was the Texas Sprint Series feature winner at Heart O Texas Speedway

The Texas Sprint Series made their second appearance of the season at Heart O’ Texas Speedway Friday night. It was a great way to get the Fathers Day weekend started. Twenty-seven Sprints were in the pits, along with six classes of race cars. The Modifieds, SportMods, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Jr. Mini Stocks! Race fans enjoyed the Hoosier Daddy Tire Throwing contest at intermission and thanks to everyone who donated to the Childrens Tumor Foundation. An organization that helps bring awareness to this terrible child hood disease. A special thanks goes out to Smileys Racing Products/Hoosier Southwest for sponsoring this weeks racing!

Sprint Feature Winner: Kenny Elwood, No. 55, picked up his second Sprint feature win in-a-row. Jeff Emerson, No. 35, had a good run for second, Jerry Hammock, No. 4, was third, Danny Merrell, No. 0, was fourth and Jason Howell, No. 72, was fifth. J. Melton, M. Melton, G. Kelley, R. Henderson, and C. Parson, rounded out the top ten. Twenty cars started the feature.

Jerry Hammock had a top three finish.

Veteran Johnny Suggs was in the house.

Race fans got to meet some of the TSS drivers.

Modified Feature Winner: The Green racing family picked up the green tonight. Kevin Green, No. 5, was the Modified feature winner. Earlier in the races his younger brother T.J. Green won the SportMod feature. Veteran Paul White, No. 2, was second, William Gould, No. 60, was third, Eric Tomlinson, No. 45, was fourth and William McGuire, No. 9, was fifth. B. Hood, C. Daniel, R. McSpadden, C. Estes, and R. Scott, rounded out the top ten. Seventeen cars started the feature.

Jay Bransom was the IMCA Modified feature winner at Kennedale Speedway Park

Several dirt tracks in the area were closed due to the recent rains. Kennedale Speedway Park's Bo and Kay Rawdon worked really hard to get the track up and running. The sun finally came out and a good crowd, along with a good car count, was ready for some racing. Seven classes of cars competed for cash and bragging rights!

Chase Allen had a strong run for second.

Matt Guillaume and his beautiful IMCA Modified.

Modified Feature Winner: Jay Bransom, No. 29, was the feature winner. Chase Allen, No. 930, took the second spot, Matt Guillaume, No. 50, was third, John Gober, No. 52, was fourth and Robert McKinney, No. 19, was fifth. N. Littlejohn, M. Martin, C. Shoemaker, M. Skinner, and M. McMillin, rounded out the top ten. Fourteen cars started the feature.

It was a great way to get the Summer Season started at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night! Several race tracks in the area were closed due to rain, but HOT was able to get in a full race program, plus the Kid's Bicycle Races. A special thanks goes out to the Mayborn Museum for donating several bikes that were given away to some very excited kids. 

William McGuire had a solid second place finish.

Justin Radcliff had a top three finish.

Modified Feature Winner: CAM Chassis Chase Allen, No. 130, took the exciting IMCA Modified feature. William McGuire, No. 9, had a good run for second, Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, was third, Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, was fourth and William Gould, No. 60, was fifth. B. Hood, R. Scrivner, J. Gober, R. McSpadden, and K. Green, rounded out the top ten. Twenty cars started the feature.
