The Texas Sprint Series (TSS) held it's first race of the season at Boyd Raceway, Friday night. A strong field of thirty-one Sprints were ready to get the racing season started at the "Bull Ring". The Texas Sprint Series keeps on racin across the Lone Star State, Saturday, April 15, with their first appearance at 281 Speedway, in Stephenville, TX.
Texas Sprint Series Feature Winner: Jeff Emerson, No. 35, made it look easy in the TSS A-main, but with five laps to go, veteran Kevin Ramey, No. 30, slipped past him to take the lead and the feature win. Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was third, J.C. Howell, No. 72, was fourth and Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, was fifth. Twenty-cars started the feature.
Jeff Emerson had a strong run for second place.
It was great to see Johnny Suggs back at the track.
Chase Parson's son was ready for some racin.

Modified Feature Winner: Dean Abbey, No. 26, was the feature winner. Chad Melton, had a great run for second, William Gould, No. 60, was third, Matt Guillaume, No. 50, was fourth and Michael Ables, No. 61, was fifth. Seventeen cars started the feature.
Chad Melton had a solid second place finish.
Treven Geter, No. 703, was one of the strong Modified field.

SportMod Feature Winner: "Quick" Nick Clinkenbeard, No. 66, made quick work of the SportMod feature. After several second place finishes, Nick took home the feature win. Tyler Bragg, No. 24t, was second, Justin Long, No. 42, was third, James Skinner, No. 17s, was fourth and Greg Frazer, No. 66x, was fifth. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Jeffrey Abbey, No. 12, held off Shelby Williams, No. 82, for the win. Justin Fowler, No. 148, was third, William Gould, No. 6d, was fourth, and Charles Lamb, No. 718, was fifth. Fifteen cars started the feature.
William Gould No. 6d, had a top five finish.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Calvin Williams, No. 11w, from Crandall, TX, was your Factory Stock feature winner. Cameron Cook, No. 04, had a great run for second, Charlie Wilson, No. 55, was third, Ricky Sessions, No. 7, was fourth and Tom Earl, No. 47, was fifth. Nineteen cars started the feature.
Tom Earl had a top five finish.

Sport Compact Feature Winner: Jay Segura, No. 27, picked up his sixth feature win in-a-row. Charles Brown, No. 5d, was second, Stephen Covey, No. 69, was third, Rick Hentschel, No. 14, was fourth and Kris Traffarsedt, No. 99k, was fifth. Eleven cars started the feature.
Kam Kartway had several Karts on display.
The kids really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt.
A great crowd was on hand to watch the races.
