Tyler Russell defeats Marcus Thomas for the Sprint feature win at Kennedale Speedway Park

It was a beautiful summer night at Kennedale Speedway Park. A large crowd munched on $1 hot dogs and enjoyed some great racing in seven different classes of cars. In the always exciting RaceSaver Sprint feature, a full field of twenty-three sprints, put on a great show for the race fans. Tyler Russell, No. 8kk, rode the rim to hold off a hard charging Marcus Thomas, No. 15t. Justin Fifield, No. 49, was third, Zane Lawrence, No. 76, was fourth and Weston Gorham, No. 71w , was fifth. Pearson, M. Melton, D. Estes, Debrick, and White, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-two cars started the feature.

Marcus Thomas had a good run for second place.

Several Sprints were involved in a wreck during their heat race.

Modified Feature Winner: Demetrius Carter, No. 88, returned to the winners circle with his first feature win of the season. Dean Abbey, No. 26, was second, Tommy Williams, No. 151, was third, John Gober, No. 52, was fourth and Austin Carter, No. 44, was fifth. C. Bragg, Miles, Bransom, M. Skinner, and M. McMillin, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two cars started the feature.

Tommy Williams had a strong run for third.

SportMod Feature Winner: Jacob Pirkle, No. 141, had a rocket and was the run-a-way SportMod winner! Robert Scrivner, No. 53s, was second, Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, was third, Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was fourth and Randall Kahanek, No. 235 , was fifth. McDonald, Freeman, McCreery, T. Bragg, and Young, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-four cars started the feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Aaron Benedict, No. 77, held off Destroyer Chassis Darryl Campbell, No. 83, for the win. Craig Moss, No. 25, was third, Kirk Martin, No. 69, was fourth and Andy Roller, No. 63, was fifth. W. Abbey, Hammond, Powers, J. Bransom, and Orebaugh, rounded out the top ten.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Justin McNeill, No. 189, won the exciting Factory Stock feature. Mike Shackleford, No. 09, was second, Jason Cook, No. 04, was third, Brett McMillin, No. 61, was fourth and Tom Earl Jr., No. 47, was fifth. Holder, Kinnaird, Barton, Lemons, Lemons, and R. Kahanek, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-five cars started the feature.

Jr. Mini Stock Feature Winner: In one of the best races of the evening, Casey Merrell, No. 41, defeated Casey Hefler, No. 2j, by a bumper for the win. Raymond Morgan, No. 6, was third, Jerrett Bransom, No. 29, was fourth and Ranger Shipman, No. 57r, was fifth. Clark, Hefler, Golf, D. Shipman, rounded out the field. Nine cars started the feature.

600 A-class Sprint Feature Winner: Colton Pardue, No. 3, drove a great race to take the checkered flag. Chase Brewer, No. 3c, ended up second, Coby Stubblefield, No. 2, was third, Brian Debrick, No. 10x, was fourth and Chipper Wood, No. 47, was fifth. Twenty-three cars started the feature.

Michael Day was the Elite Non-Wing Sprint Car Series winner at Boyd Raceway Friday night

It was First Responders Night at Boyd Raceway. The fans showed their appreciation for all that they do. The feature race of the evening was the Elite Non-Wing Sprint Car Series. This was their first appearance of the season at the "Bullring". The race that was scheduled earlier in the season was rained out. Jeff Day, No. 95, took the early lead in the 20-lap A-main. Jeff appeared to be in control untill unlucky lap thirteen when he and Raven Culp, No. 3, the current points leader, was involved in a wreck. That opened the door for Michael Day, No. 2, to take the lead and the feature win. Melton Motorsports, Michelle and Justin, finished second and  third, Johnny Miller, No. 64J, was fourth and Corby Sherb, No. 54, was fifth. Eighteen Sprints started the feature.

Modified Feature Winner: Chris Bragg, No. 24b, beat the field to take the win. Chad Melton, No. 71, was second, Matt Guillaume, No. 50, was third, Tom Earl III, No. 47, and Justin Boyd, No. 04, was fifth. Nine cars started the feature.

George White was the Modified feature winner at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night

George White, No. 10, came close to winning the Sprint feature Saturday night at Kennedale Speedway Park. He came up a little short and settled for second place. In the IMCA Modified feature, it was a different story. George raced to the front and took the checkered flag for the feature win. Having a good run was Jeff Emerson, No. 35, for second, Chad Melton, No. 71, was third, Matt Martin, No. 11, last weeks feature winner, was fourth, and Dean Abbey, No. 91, was fifth. Gober, Bransom, McKinney, McMillin, and Campbell, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Sprint Feature Winner: Picking up his second Sprint feature win in-a-row, was Weston Gorham, No. 71w. Settling for second was George White, No. 10. Nicholas Littlejohn, No. 21x, had a good run for third, Jeff Emerson, No. 35, was fourth and Colby Estes, No. 71, was fifth. Lawrence, Hall, Wood, Williams, and C. Estes, rounded out the top ten. Seventeen cars started the feature.

SportMod Feature Winner: It wasn't easy, but with less than five laps to go, Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, worked his way around the high side to take the feature win. Michael Newhard, No. 14n, had a soild run for a very close second, Will Fritchen, No. 97f, lead several laps of the race, but ended up third. Last weeks feature winner, Kamera McDonald, No. 62k, was fourth and John Freeman, No. 21f, had a good run to finish in the top five. Long, Hammond, Cavanagh, McCreery, and Montgomery, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-six cars started the feature.

Jason Howell, No. 0, celebrated his recent marriage with a strong run in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint feature at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night. Jason was closing fast on the leader Tyler Russell. No. 8kk, but got caught up in lap traffic, allowing Tyler to take the 20-lap feature win. Daniel Estes Jr., No. 74, was third, Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, was fourth and Dustin Woods, No. 00, was fifth. Howery, Emerson, R. Reed, Debrick, C. Estes III, Elwood, Klis Jr., Welch, and Fry, rounded out the field. Fourteen cars started the feature.

Modified Feature Winner: Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, held off a hard charging Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, for the Modified feature win. Matt Martin gets his first Modified win of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park

Matt Martin, No.11, picked up his first IMCA Modified feature win of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Matt managed to hold off a hard charging Matt Guillaume, No. 50, to take the exciting Modified win. Cody Shoemaker, No. 54, ended up third, Jay Bransom, No. 29, was fourth and Chris Bragg, No. 24, was fifth. Gober, Pike, D. Abbey, Cook, and McMillin, rounded out the top ten. D. Carter, A. Carter, Sartain, Miles, Skinner, Littlejohn, Wilten, Williams, and Emerson, rounded out the field. Twenty-one cars started the feature.

Sprint Feature Winner: Weston Gorham, No. 71w, got the Sprint feature win. Abilenes Josh McGaha held off Paul White for Modified win at Heart O Texas Speedway

Abilene's Josh McGaha, No. 911, lost the first round to Paul White, No. 2, several months ago at Heart O Texas Speedway. He and Paul were involved in a bad wreck on the back straight-a-way during the Modified feature event. Friday night Josh McGaha got the best of Paul White to take the exciting Modified feature win. William McGuire, No. 9, had a good run for third, Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, was fourth and Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, rounded out the top five. Green, Grantham, Goode Jr., Goode Sr., and Daniel, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-three cars started the feature.

Geoff Youngblood, No. 89, was third, Danny Rodgers, No. 02, was fourth and Kyle Jones, No. 04, was fifth. Christians, Stephens, Berry, Armstrong II, and McCoy, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-six cars started the feature.

Colby Smith sails to Texas Outlaw Modified Series win at Southern Oklahoma Speedway

Colby Smith was the TOMS Modified feature winner.

Most of the dirt tracks in north Texas were rained out. Several of the cars and drivers from Texas made the trip to Southern Oklahoma Speedway Saturday night. SOS was running five classes of cars that featured the exciting Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS). A large field of fifty-two Modifieds battled it out for the the twenty-four starting positions in the 25-lap, $1,500 to win, A-main. Kevin Sustaire, No. 871k, took the early lead. But two laps into the feature, Kevin spun out in turn 1, taking Triston Dycus, No. 14t, with him. That opened the door for Colby Smith, No. 01, to rocket to the lead. Colby blew away the field to take the feature win. Mike Dillard, No. 66x, was second, C.A. Nix, No. 34n, was third, Dean Abbey, No. 91, was fourth and Blaine Shives, No. 777, rounded out the top five. Thomas, Sustaire, Dunn Jr., C. Howell, and P. Houston, rounded out the top ten. Dycus, Chase, Schmidt, Robinson, Landers, Honiker, Taylor, Veal, Penrod, Gould III, T. Houston, Nabors, Byrns, and Freeman, rounded out the field. Twenty-four cars started the feature. A large field of fifty-two TOMS Modifieds were in the pits.

Kevin Sustaire had a strong run to finish seventh.

Limited Modified Feature Winner: Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, made it two feature wins in-a-row. Kamera McDonald, No. 62k, was second, Nick Clinkenbeard, No. 66, was third, Ronnie Welborn, No. 20, was fourth and Tommy Dove, No. 10, was fifth. Decker, Allen, Honeywell, Christian, and Fincher, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Tommy Dove drove to a top five finish.

Ronnie Welborn picked up a fourth place finish.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Westin Abbey, No. 12, held off the field for the feature win. Tommy McKinney, No. 111, ended up second, Flyin Ryan Powers, No. r12, was third, Casey McAllister, No. 10, was fourth and Marcus Hahn, No., 52, was fifth. S. Williams, Heaslet, Norris, G. Williams, and Roberts, rounded out the top ten. Nineteen cars started the feature.

Bonham Motorsports had a good showing.

Hobby Feature Winner: Louisiana's Justin Whitehead, No. 36jj, was the run-a-way feature winner. David Bonham, No. 66, was second, Randy Buttery, No. 06, was third, Daniel Mullins, No. 17, was fourth and Ricky Sessions, No. 7, was fifth. Thompson, Brousard, Farer, Windham, and Hoedebeck, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-seven cars started the feature.

Trent Gibby had a good run for second place.

Economy Limited Modified Feature Winner: Matt Beasley, No. 33, was the feature winner. Trent Gibby, No. 09, the current points leader, was second, David Barnard Jr., No. 3, was third, Brandon Smith, No. 86k, was fourth and Rick Spencer, No. 11x, was fifth. Howard, Hopkins, Luttmer, Watterson, and York, rounded out the top ten. Seventeen cars started the feature.
