It was a Memorial Day special at Heart O Texas Speedway Sunday night. HOT was rained out Friday, but Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day for racing. Over 200 cars competed for cash, trophies and bragging rights. The Sprint Series of Texas was there in force. There were forty-three RaceSaver Sprints in the pits for the first inaugural Johnny Suggs Classic. A great crowd was on hand to see the Sprints battle it out for the twenty-two starting positions in the 25-lap A-main. Dustin Woods, No. 00, had a good run, but nine laps into the feature, Jeff Day, No. 95, passed Dustin for the lead and never looked back. Kyle Jones, No. 04, was second, Tyler Russell, No. 8k, was third, Michael Day, No. 2, was fourth and Dustin Woods, No. 00, ended up fifth. Howery, J. Melton, Vetter, Thomas and Ramey rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two cars started the feature.

Hobby Stock Feature Winner: Abilene's Gerald Spalding Jr., No. 15, picked up a kool $1,000 for his win in the Texas Hobby Stock Shootout. Jeremy Oliver, No. 82, was a close second, Shannon Dulock, No. 47, the current points leader, was third, Wesley Warren, No. 75, was fourth and Damian Snyder, No. 44, was fifth. Burnett, Bice, Wade, Wilkerson, and Robilette, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-five cars started the feature.

Kevin Green had a solid run for second place.
Modified Feature Winner: Kevin Sustaire, No. 8, picked up his first Modified feature win this season. Kevin Green, No. 5, the current points leader, was second, Dwayne Grantham, No. 27g, was third, Dean Abbey, No. 26, was fourth and Jack Sartain, No. 47, rounded out the top five. Daniels, Radcliff, Martin, Ables, and Hoegh, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-fouir cars started the feature.

Dwayne Grantham, No. 27g, got a top five finish.
SportMod Feature Winner: In one of the best races of the evening, Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, beat Jeff Shepperd, No. 17, at the wire by a bumper. Chris Florio, No. 21, was third, T.J. Green, No. 5, was fourth and G.W. Egbert, No. 717, was fifth. Tucker, Manka, Gould, Williams, and McCall, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Zachary Rile, No. 110, had a top five finish.
Stock Car Feature Winner: Benji Kirkpatrick, No. 4725, picked up another feature winner. Good to see Charles Cosper, No. 33c, back at the track. He was second, Damon Hammond, No. 116, was third, Zachary Riley, No. 110, was fourth and Eric Jones, No. 84x, was fifth. Powers, Abbey, Roller, Crenshaw, and Andrews, rounded out the top ten, Twenty-two cars started the feature.
Cameron Cook, No. 04c, had a top five finish.
Factory Stock Feature Winner: Chase Neil, No. 416, had the fastest hot rod picking up his second win of the season. Billy Meazell III, No. 115, was second, Rick Morosky, No. 88, was third, Joe Finelli, No. 17x, was fourth and Cameron Cook, No. 04c, was fifth. Hopkins, Broussard, Phillips, Wade, and Richardon, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-four cars stared the feature.

Jr. Mini Stock Feature Winner: Blake Clark, No. 88, was the winner. Jordan Hefler, No. 2j, was second, Bradly Warren, No. 34w, was third, Richard Gregory, No. 72, was fourth and Raymond Morgan, No. 6, was fifth. Thirteen cars started the feature.
A great crowd was on hand to view the races.
Heart O Texas Speedway's next race will be Friday, June, 3, and will feature a full racing program plus Military Appreciation Night and Dwarf Cars!
