Chad Howell defeats Mickey Lassiter for Mod feature win at Southern Oklahoma Speedway

The USRA Modifieds lined up for their feature event.

It was a beautiful evening at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. A nice crowd was on hand to watch five classes of cars compete for cash and bragging rights. In the USRA Modified feature, Chad Howell, No. 49, managed to hold off Mickey Lassiter, No. 34, for the feature win. Kyle Robertson, No. 02r, came in third, Mike Dillard, in his beautiful No. 66x, was fourth and Wesley Veal, No. 11x, rode the high line to fifth. Twenty Modifieds started the feature.

Limited Modified Feature Winner: In one of the best races of the evening, Curtis Allen, No. 15, defeated Westley Veal, No. 12x, by a bumper for the feature win. Shane Hartline, No. 31, was third, Mike Brown, No. 11b, was fourth and Ray Allen Hoedebeck, No. 62, was fifth. Eighteen cars started the feature.

Bryce Bumpass finished second in the feature.

Economy Modified Feature Winner: Jareb Webb, No. 15j, was the feature winner, Bryce Bumpass, No. 1, was second, Jackson Walker, No. 12, was third and Andrew Towner, No. 10t, was fourth. Nine cars started the feature.

Charlie Wilson had a good run to take second.

Hobby Stock Feature Winner: Kevin Meyer, No. 11w, was the feature winner. Daniel Bourdon, No. 36, was second, Charlie Wilson, No. 55, was third, J.D. Windhan, No. 56, was fourth and Buddy Baker, No. 5, was fifth. Thirteen cars started the feature.

Mike Lantrip came in second in the hard fought feature.

Stock Car Feature Winner: Shelby Williams, No. 82, drove a good race for the feature win. Billy Lantrip, No. 70, was second, Tommy McKinney, No. 111, was third, Marcus Hahn, No. 52, was fourth and Richard Brownlee, No. 02, was fifth. Nine cars started the feature.

Wayne Johnson was the top qualifier at the Devils Bowl Speedway Winter Nationals

Wayne Johnson was the ASCS Sprint top qualifier.

It was the first of two nights of racing for the 42nd Annual Winter Nationals James McElreath Memorial Race at the historic Devils Bowl Speedway. It was a beautiful evening and a good crowd was on hand to watch some exciting racing. In the ASCS Sprint 25-lap qualifier, Wayne Johnson, No. 77x, took the early lead and went on to take the top spot in the A-qualifier. Joe Wood Jr., No. 11, had a strong run, but settled for second, Matt Covington, No. 95, was third, John Carney II, No. 74b, was fourth, and Blake Hahn, No. 52, was fifth. Bergman, Ramey, Reutzel, Baughman, and Hagar, rounded out the top ten. The first four positions are locked into Saturday nights feature. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

USA Modified Feature Winner: Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, was the run-a-way winner in fifteen-lap feature. Patrik Daniel, No. 75, was second, Michael Daniels, No. 711, was third, Chase Allen, CAM Chassis, No. 30, was fourth and Chris Huckeba, No. 2c, was fifth. Ewell, Taylor, Shipp, McMackin, and Howell, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Feature Winner: Mike Smith, No. 21m, won a close one. Bo Day, No. 4, was second, Tommy Davis Jr., No. 71m, was third, T. Ray Burkett, No. 333, was fourth and Tom Earl, was fifth. Boatman, Jensen, Chennanlt, Ashcraft, and Simpkins, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-one cars started the twelve-lap feature. Steven Hardy, No. 15, was DQ'd.

Wing Modified Feature Winner: Thomas Burge, No. 10b, was the feature winner. Doug Ingalls, No. 99, was second, Kody Adams, No. 8a, was third, Dustin Mooney, No. 05, was fourth and Brother Fowlkes, No. 12, was fifth. Adrian, McCommas, Keimig, Flanagan, and Golden, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-three cars started the feature. A record twenty-eight Wing Mods were in the pits.

Veteran Doug Ingalls had a strong run to place second.

Chase Allen wins the Texas Outlaw Modified Series feature at Mountain Creek Speedway

Chase Allen was the TOMS feature winner.

Chase Allen make a mistake in the TOMS feature that may have cost him a win Friday night at Mountain Creek Speedway. Saturday night, he wasn't about to make the same mistake. Charlie Smith, No. 3c, took the early lead in the 30-lap Texas Outlaw Modified Series feature. A couple of laps into the race, Chase Allen, No. 930, powered past Charlie to take the lead and never looked back. Chase picked up the $2,000 feature win. Charlie Smith, No. 3c, settled for second, last nights feature winner, Triston Dycus, No. 14t, was third, Garrett Gregory, No. 77, was fourth and Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, was fifth. Malcus, No. 4m, Huckeba, No. 2c, Daniels, No. 711, Shipp, No. 25d, and Ewell, No. 7jr., rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two cars started the feature. Triston Dycus, No. 14t, was crowned the 2015 TOMS Champion.

Sprint Winner: Kyle Jones, No. 04, defeated Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, for the win. Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was third, Martin Edwards, No. 45, was fourth and Chase Brewer, No. 1, was fifth. Seven Sprints started the feature.

Triston Dycus defeats Clyde Dunn Jr to take TOMS feature at Mountain Creek Speedway

The Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) rolled into Mountain Creek Speedway for the first of two nights of racing. Five other classes of cars also attempted to qualify for Saturday's finale features. Racing continues Saturday night at 7 p.m., with the TOMS Modifieds going for $2,000 to win and winners to be crowned in the other classes. TOMS drivers will hold an autograph session for the fans between 5:15 and 6 p.m.

Clyde Dunn Jr. had a good run to finish second.

Texas Outlaw Modified Series Winner: "Lil Feaky" Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, and CAM Chassis Chase Allen, No. 930, battled for the lead. A few laps into the race, Allen powered his way past Dunn to take the early lead. Twelve laps into the A-feature, Chase Allen spun out in turn four. That gave the lead back to Clyde Dunn Jr. With two laps to go, veteran Troy Taylor, No. 56, stopped in turn 4, bringing out a caution. That tighten up the field with Triston Dycus, No. 14t, who started from the sixteenth position, occupying the second spot. On the restart, Clyde took the lead, but on the last lap, Triston Dycus, pasted Clyde Dunn Jr. on the low side to take the exciting $1,500 feature win. Garrett Gregory, No. 77, was third, local Sam Cox, No. 3, had a great run, to finish fourth and Bobby Malcus, No. 4m, was fifth. Smith, No. 3c, McMackin, No. 41m, Gammage, No. 88, Allen, No. 930, and Daniels, No. 711, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two cars started the twenty-five lap feature.

Troy Taylor had a strong run but dropped out with a few laps to go.

A great crowd was on hand for the 9th Annual Showdown at Kennedale Speedway Park

It was a wonderful evening for race fans to watch some racing.

Champions were crowned at Kennedale Speedway Park's 9th Annual Showdown Saturday night. A large crowd was on hand to watch some exciting racing. Six classes of cars competed for cash and trophies. Kennedale Speedway Park would like to thank all the racers and race fans that came out and made the Showdown a success. KSP will host one more show this year. The Texas Gobbler on November 28. Modified Feature Winner:  Matt Guillaume, No. 50, picked up the $1,800 prize for his Modified feature win. Jeff Emerson, No. 35, had a strong run, but Matt managed to get past him for the win. Emerson, settled for second, Justin McCoy, No. 87, was third, Dean Abbey, No. 26, was fourth and John Gober, No. 52, was fifth. R. Martin, M. Martin, Bransom, Carter, and McGaha, rounded out the top ten. A full field of twenty-four cars started the feature.

Close to one hundred and fifty race cars attemped to qualify for the 9th Annual Showdown Friday night at Kennedale Speedway Park. Each of the five classes had two qualifying races and the top six from each class were locked in for Saturday's Showdown finales. Saturday's races start at 6 p.m. with gates opening at 3 p.m. Jr. Mini Stocks will also be a part of Saturday's program.
