Veteran George White, No. 10, looked to have the RaceSaver Sprint feature well in hand at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. But with less than five laps to go, Logan Scherb, No. 18, managed to slide past him on the last lap to take the exciting Sprint feature. D.J. Estes, No. 74, was third, Tony Dowd, No. 11t, was fourth and Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was fifth. Jones, Thomas, Littlejohn, Jenkins, and S. Scherb, rounded out the top ten. Twelve Sprints started the feature.

Modified Feature Winner: Jay Bransom, No. 29, had a strong run, but with less than five laps to go, veteran George White, No. 10, got past him for the win. John Gober, No. 52, was second, Jay Bransom, No. 29, ended up third, Matt Guillaume, No. 50, was fourth and Dillion Pike, No. 6*, was fifth. Green, Skinner, Martin, Benedict, and Hathcock, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two Modifieds started the feature.

Mountain Creek Speedway (Grand Prairie) September 25 (Friday)
Kye Jones, No. 85, got a hat trick at Mountain Creek Speedway Friday night. Kyle won three feature events in three different classes. Kyle mentioned that he had tried several times to get two feature wins, but had never been successful until tonight. A full field of twenty-four North Texas STARS Mod Lites started the feature. No. 412, took the early lead. Midway through the 20-lap feature, local Sean Jones, No. 54, found the high side of the track to his liking and made a strong run on the leader. It was a great race between car No. 412, Sean Jones and Kyle Jones battling for the lead. With less than five laps to go, Sean spun out in turn 4. Kyle took over the second spot and managed to work his way past lap traffic and car number 412 to take the lead and the win making it three feature wins for the evening. Danny Rodgers, No. 02, was second, Jeremy Holtman, No. 4, was third, and No. 13b, was fourth. The North Texas STARS Mod Lites next race is Saturday, September, 26, at Superbowl Speedway.

Nicholas Littlejohn, No. 21n, has been around racing most of his life. The son of local racer Jimmy Littlejohn, Nicholas experience has mostly been in the Modified division. This year he got a ride in a Sprint and has been upside down to picking up his first Sprint feature win at Kennedale Speedway Park. Coming in second was Ryan Hall, No. 79v, Chad Wilson Motorsports, No. 20, was third, Tyler Russell, No. 8kk, was fourth, and Sterling Hoff, No. 39, was fifth. L. Scherb, Hawkins, Floyd, S. Scherb, and C. Estes, rounded out the top ten. Twelve cars started the feature.

Modified Feature Winner: John Gober, No. 52, powered his way past Matt Guillaume, No. 50, for the Modified win. Michelle Melton, No. 21m, showed the fellows of the Sprint Series of Texas the fast way around the 1/4-mile track at Mountain Creek Speedway. Veteran Russell Shoulders, No. 29, looked to have this one under control. But on the last lap, Michelle saw an opening going down the back straight-a-way and took it to take the feature win. Russell settled for second, Jerry Hammock, No. 4, was on a tear starting on the rear, to finish third, Kenny Elwood, No. 5, was fourth and Adam Barr, No. 7, was fifth. Etzelmiller, Woods, Whitworth, Howell, and Henderson, rounded out the top ten. Twenty-two cars started the feature.

Bret Young, No. 69y, defeated Cody Shoemaker, No. 54, in one of the closest finishes of the season at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Cody lead every lap of the IMCA SportMod 20-lap feature. But coming out of turn 4, Bret managed to get the inside track allowing him to slip past Cody at the finish line. Michael Newhard, No. 14n, was third, Jason Llich, No. 60, was fourth, and Bobby Ortega, No. 07g, was fifth. Phillips, Gooding, Covey, Lathram, and Allison, rounded out the top ten. Sixteen cars started the feature.

RPM Speedway - Texas (Crandall) September 6 (Sunday)
There was a large crowd and car count at RPM Speedway - Texas for the 3rd Annual David Pope Memorial Race. David Pope, a race car driver from East Texas who passed away a few years ago, must have been smiling down from above. The weather was on the hot side, but after the sun went down, it was a beautiful night for racing. Over 120 race cars competed in four classes with the featured class being the Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS).
TOMS Modified Winner: Bobby Malcus, No. 4m, started on the pole in the TOMS 25-lap feature event. Bobby lead every lap with veteran Troy Taylor, No. 56, in hunting distance. It appeared that Bobby Malcus was the feature winner, but a trip across the scales showed that his car was to light, giving the $1,500 to win to Troy Taylor. Kevin Sustaire, No. 71k, was second, Wesley Veal, No. 11x, was third, Josh Landers, No. 14x, was fourth and Patrick Daniel, No. 75, was fifth. Twenty-three Modifieds started the feature. TOMS left a position open in the feature to remember David Pope. There were thirty-one Modifieds in the pits.

Graham Wrecker Service Sprint Winner: Zane Lawrence, No. 76, was the run-a-way winner. On a slick track, Zane defeated Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, for second. Andy Shouse, No. 27, was third, Kevin Ramey, No. 17m, was fourth and Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was fifth. Nineteen Sprints started the feature.

USA Limited Modified Winner: A great race between Tommy Davis Jr., No. 17, Cody Smith, No. 31s, and Jason Troutman, No. 1*. Tommy lead most of the 20-lap feature, but Troutman and Smith managed to get around him. With a couple of laps to go Cody Smith, No. 31s, slipped past Troutman for the apparent win. Cody was later DQ'd giving the feature win to Jason Troutman. Jimmy Day, No. 23m, was second, Tommy Davis Jr., ended up third, and Tim Clonch, No. 25c, was fourth. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Winner: In one of the best races of the evening, Mike Marusak, No. 45, defeated Jason Cook, No. 04, at the wire to take the Factory Stock win. J.C. Howell, No. 28s, was third, Bobby Morphis, No. 7b, was fifth, and Lance Hansen, No. 5h, was fifth. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

Heart O Texas Speedway (Waco) September 4 (Friday)
There was good news and bad news at Heart O Texas Speedway Friday night. The good news was there was a good crowd and a large car count that featured the Southern United Sprints. The bad news was the races were not over until after 2 in the morning. Those race fans that were unable to stay, missed a great S.U.S. Sprint twenty-five lap feature that saw several lead changes. Veteran Andy Shouse, No. 27, took the early lead and led several laps until a caution came out for a bad wreck in turn 4. Andy Shouse resumed the lead on the restart. Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, and Justin Fifield, No. 49, put on quite a show sliding back and forth, until both were able to get past Shouse, along with Raven Culp, No. 3, with less than ten laps to go. When the dust settled, Jeb Sessums was able to hold off Justin Fifield, for the $750 feature win. Raven Culp, was third, Chipper Wood, No. 47, was fourth, and Andy Shouse ended up fifth.
