Rodney Sanders, No. 20, started thirteenth in the $3,000 to win Southern Region USMTS Modified feature, presented by Day Motor Sports, at Heart O Texas Speedway Tuesday night. The two time National Champion, from Happy, Texas, made it seven straight feature wins in-a-row. This one wasn't easy. Dereck Ramirez, No. 4r, took the early lead and seemed to be in control. With 14 laps to go, in the 40-lap feature, a caution came out. Ramiriez had fuel problems on the restart and pulled into the infield. Cody Smith, No. 18s, took the lead, but not for long. A hard charging Rodney Sanders found something up top and took the lead with 11-laps to go. Rodney pulled away from the field and won the feature with Steve Whiteaker Jr., No. 89, settling for second. Cade Dillard, No. 97, was third, "Lil Freaky" Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88xxx, was fourth and Grant Jughans, No. 2, was fifth. Malcus, Smith, Scott, Radcliff, and Rutherford, rounded out the top ten. Thirty-two Modifieds were in the pits. Twenty-four cars started the feature.
