Having a strong run for second was Jay Bransom, No. 29. Kevin Green, No. 5, who lead several laps of the Modified feature, settled for third, John Gober, No. 52, was fourth and Mike Hathcock, No. 03, was fifth. Melton, Montgomery, McMillin, Skinner, and McKinney, round out the top ten. A full field of twenty-four cars started the feature.
