Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale) March 28 (Saturday)
Beautiful weather greeted another large crowd at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. With the warmer weather, that means it's racing season. Over one hundred and seventy race cars filled the pits. Race fans were treated to some exciting races including the IMCA Modified feature in which Dean Abbey, No. 26, managed to hold on to take the hard fought Modified feature win. KSP's next scheduled race is Saturday, April 4.
IMCA Modified Winner: Dean Abbey, No. 26, held on to take the exciting IMCA Modified feature. John Gober, No. 52, ended up second, Matt Guillaume, No. 50, had a strong run to finish third, Kevin Sustaire, No. 71k, was fourth and Dillion Pike, No. 6*, was fifth. Green, Melton, Martin, McMillin, and Lawler round out the top ten. Twenty-four Modifieds started the feature.

RaceSaver Sprint Winner: George White, No. 10, looked to be the Sprint to beat, but half way through the race his car broke opening the door for Marcus Thomas, No. 15t, to take the win. Marcus was second last Friday night at RPM Speedway. Kyle Jones, No. 04, was second, Jerry Hammock, No. 4, was third, Jeff Sessums, No. 01j, was fourth and Chad Wilson Motorsports, No. 20, who started on the back after a spin out, ended up fifth. Brewer, Howell, Hawkins, Woods, and Elwood round out the top ten. A full field of twenty-five Sprints started the feature.

IMCA SportMod Winner: Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, was the impressive winner. This young man is on the move. Paul Scrivner, No. 14, was second, T.J. Green, No. 5, had another good run at KSP to take third, Gary Fox, No. 12w, was fourth and Duain Pritchett, No. 22, was fifth. Grindstaff, UpChurch, Newhard, Skinner, and Gilbert round out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature.

IMCA Stock Car Winner: Matt Guillaume, No. 50, had another strong run in the IStocks taking the feature win. Kirk Martin, No. 69, settled for second, K.C. Fielding, No. 1x, was third, Jeff Turner, No. 44, was fourth and Dennis Bissonette, No. 07d, was fifth. Hodges, Pritchett, Bransom, Bissonette, and Harcrow round out the top ten. Twenty-seven cars started the feature.
Factory Stock Winner: Chase Neil, No. 410, was the feature winner. Jeffery Kinnard, No. 07, was second, No. 21b, was third, Mike Shackleford, No. 09, was fourth and Chance Hull, No. 2, was fifth. Twenty-four cars started the feature.
Factory Stock Makeup Winner: Brett McMillin, No. 61, was the makeup winner. Tim Murray, No. 20, was second, Chase Neil, No. 410, was third, Jeffery Kinnaird, No. 07, was fourth and Tyler Smith, No. 24, was fifth. Sixteen cars started the feature.
Jr.Mini Stock Winner: Blake Clark, No. 88, was the winner. Ryan Zilka, No. 5k, was second, Cameron Cook, No. 04, was third, Casey Merrill, No. 41, was fourth and Katelyn Foster, No. 72k, was fifth.
Mod Lite Winner: No. 51, was the winner. No. 1, was second, No. 54, was third, No. 5j, was fourth and Danny Rogers, No. 4j, was fifth.

RPM Speedway held their reopening Friday night in Crandall, Texas. The track was closed for the 2014 season. A nice crowd was on hand to get the 2015 racing season underway. New promoter Kevin Hall and crew did a good job of getting RPM Speedway up and running with all the rain lately. The weather was cool, but the racers put on a good show for the fans with several close finishes. One of the most exciting races of the evening was the Factory Stock feature.
Factory Stock Winner: Tommy McKinley, No. 71m, managed to get by Chris Davis, No. 98, by a nose at the finish line for the exciting win. Shane Kersten, No. 34, was third, Kyle Kent, No. 47, was fourth and Wesley Staggs, No. 83, was fifth. Ten cars started the feature.

Michael Walker had a strong run to finish second.
USRA Modified Winner: Doug Byrns, No. 32, came from last to first to take the feature win. Michael Walker, No. 34, after a strong run, ended up second, Chase Allen, No. 930, was third, Troy Taylor, No. 56, was fourth and Cody Smith, No. 18s, was fifth. Nine Modifieds started the feature.

Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale) March 14 (Saturday)
If Saturday night is any indication of the 2015 racing season at Kennedale Speedway Park, race fans are in for a treat. A large crowd was ready for the racing season to get under way even with the cooler, windy conditions. A record 233 race cars packed the pits. The KSP staff did an outstanding job of running the races as quickly as possible, but due to the 12 p.m. curfew, they were unable to get the Factory Stock feature in. The Factory Stock race will be made up next Saturday, March 21.
IMCA Modified Winner: Jeff Emerson, No. 35, started on the outside front row and quickly jumped out to the lead. Boyd Raceway's Friday night Modified feature winner William Gould, B&B Chassis, No. 60, tried to track him down, but settled for second. Nicholas Littlejohn, No. 21, came in third, Waco's Kevin Green, No. 5g, was fourth and Mitch McMillin, No. 61, was fifth. Chad Melton, Chris Bragg, Jay Bransom, Matt Martin, and John Gober round out the top ten. Twenty Modifieds started the feature.

Boyd Raceway started the 2015 racing season off with a good car count and a great crowd that got to see some exciting racing. The IMCA Modified feature was one of the most exciting races of the evening. William Gould, B&B Racing Chassis, No. 60, had major engine problems, but managed to take the 20-lap feature win. Tommy Fain, Abilene Radiator, No. 90, started on the pole and managed to hold off the field for several laps. But with ten laps to go, Gould powered passed Fain, on the high side coming out of turn 2, to take the lead. He was running away with the win, but on the final lap, Gould developed major engine problems. He managed to coast across the finish line with Fain hot on his tail, for his first feature win of the season. Jack Sartain, No. 47, was third, Chris Bragg, No. 24b, was fourth and John Gober, No. 52, was fifth. Fifteen Modifieds started the feature.
Willaim Gould managed to hold off Tommy Fain for the win.
GOD is Awesome Tommy Fain had a strong run to finish second.
Dean Abbey broke and ended up in the turn 1 wall.
Quick Change rear ends are new to IMCA Modifieds this season.

IMCA SportMod Winner: A great race between Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, and Gabe Tucker, No. 95, with young Abbey holding off Tucker for the win. Camron Mitchell, No. 18m, was third, Justin Long, No. 42, was fourth and Tyler Fain, No. 77t, was fifth. Steve Hayes, No. 7, had a great run, but slowed with only a few laps to go. A full field of twenty cars started the feature.
