What better way to wind down the racing season at Kennedale Speedway Park, than with the 8th Annual Showdown. A large crowd and a huge car count made for some exciting racing. Close to two hundred cars battled for the winners share of the purse. Kennedale Speedway Park has one more event this year and that is the Thanksgiving Show on Saturday, November 29.
IMCA Modified Winner: John Gober, No. 52, got the $1,800 first place win. Scotty Brown, No. 44, was second, Jeremy Willis, No. 010, was third, Matt Martin, No. 11, was fourth and Tom Earl III, No. 47, was fifth. A.J. Vasquez, No. 88r, Kevin Rutherford, No. 9, Jack Sartain, No. 747, Dillon Pike, No. 6*, Brad Smith, No. 88s, round out the top ten. Twenty-four cars started the feature. Jeff Emerson, No. 35, was DQ'd.

RaceSaver Sprint Winner: Chad Wilson, No. 20, was the run-a-way winner. Justin Melton, No. 11, was second, Jeff Emerson, No. 35, was third, Seth Bergman, No. 4, was fourth and Patrick Stasa, No. 19, was fifth. Shawn Petersen, No. 4x, George White, No. 10, Andy Shouse, No. 27, Claud Estes, No. 74e, and Michael Lang, No. 14, round out the top ten. A full field of twenty-four Sprints started the feature.
Josh Hawkins, No. 80, fought the wall and the wall won.

IMCA SportMod Winner: Doug Esterling, No. 88, was the feature winner. Trevor Egbert, No. 83k, was second, Allen Montgomery, No. 38, was third, Jeffrey Abbey, No. 37, was fourth and Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was fifth. A full field of twenty-four cars started the feature.

IMCA Stock Car Feature: Great race. You decide who won. Jeff Turner, No. 44, was declaired the winner. Dennis Bissonette, No. 07d, lost by inches for second, Jay Bransom, No. 33c, was third, Matt Guillaume, No. 50, was fourth and Jason Batt, No. 9, was fifth. Twenty-three cars started the feature.

Street Stock Winner: Wade White, No. 68, had the fastest Hot Rod in the Street Stock feature. Craig Moss, No. 3, was second, Lance Hanson Jr., No. 5h, was third, Drew Garcia, No. 9, was fourth and Michael Villanueva, No. 20, was fifth. Nineteen cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Winner: Randall "Zombinator" Zilka, No. 2k, held off J.C. Howell, No. 037, for an exciting win. Kyle Wilkins, No. 7mk, was third, David Newton, No. 54, was fourth and Doug Kahanek II, No. 3k, was fifth. Check out No. 147's fiery ride. Twenty-two cars started the feature.

Jr. Mini Stock Winner: Kamera McDonald, No. 62k, was the winner. Jerrett Bransom, No. 29, was second, Jordan Hefler, No. 2j, was third, Logan Carter, No. 44, was fourth and Jarrett Hefler, No. 88y, was fifth.
Close to two hundred cars were in the pits.
The fans enjoyed the Demolition Derby.
A large crowd was on hand to watch the races.
