Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore) October 30 (Thursday)
It was the first of three nights of racing at the Southern Oklahoma Speedway's inaugural Halloween Havoc. Thirty-six Modifieds competed for the twenty-four car, thirty-lap, A-feature. New Mexico's Stormy Scott, No. 2s, sped to the front and managed to hold off several challengers to take the $2,000 feature win. Current points leader Rodney Sanders, No. 20, had a strong run to finish second, Cade Dillion, No. 97, was third, Kelly Shryock, No. 44, was fourth and Jeremy Payne, No. 186, was fifth. Jake Gallardo, No. j17, Jason Hughes, No. 12, Grant Junghans, No. 2, Tyler Townsend, No. 12t, and Brad Rowland, No. 20r, round out the top ten.

Limited Modified Winner: Travis Johnson, No 86j, had the Hot Rod to beat. Shane Hartline, No. 31, was second, Chad Jones, No. 30, was third, Greg Moran, No. 7f, was fourth and Cary Stephens, No. 35, was fifth. Curtis Allen, No. 15, Billy Melton, No. 87, David Tanner, No. d25, Cullen Hill, No. 1, and Dustin Robinson, No. 10, round out the top ten. Randy Timms, No. 5t, had a strong run, but was sent to the back of the pack for rough driving. Twenty-four Limited Modifieds started the twenty-lap feature. There were thirty-eight Limited Modifieds in the pits.
Shane Hartline finished second in the feature.

Heart O' Texas Speedway (Waco) October 25 (Saturday)
Oklahoma's William Gould, No. 60, finally got that IMCA Modified win at Heart O' Texas Speedway. After seven attempts at the track, William took home the gold at the Annual Fall Classic. It wasn't easy. The race wasn't over until 3 a.m. Sunday morning. For the die hard race fans that stayed, it was worth the wait. Twenty-three Modifieds started the feature. Several cars were in the mix for the lead. William started from the middle of the field and with less than ten laps to go in the 25-lap feature, he took over the lead and went on to capture the win. Charles Brewer, No. 72, settled for second, J.P. Dowell, No. 715, was third, Kevin Green, No. 5, was fourth and Billy Bachmeyer Jr., No. 38, was fifth. G.W. Egbert, No. 717, Jack Sartain, No. 47, Chase Jupe, No. 2w, Ben Ketteman, No. 37, and Terry Woodall, No. 3, round out the top ten.

Sprint Series of Texas Winner: The race fans thought they were watching Smiley's Driving School instead of the Sprint Series of Texas with all the wrecks during the first few laps. But after things settled down, it turned out to be a good race with an exciting finish. David Garland, No. 84, picked up his first Sprint Series of Texas feature win. Trevor Reed, No. 28, was a close second, Dustin Woods, No. 00, was third, Jerry Hammock, No. 4, was fourth, and Jason Howell, No. 41, was fifth. Twenty Sprints started the feature.
Several Sprints were involved in wrecks during the feature.

IMCA SportMod Winner: Sid Kiphen, No. 58, keeps on winning. This one was not a contest. Jeffery Abbey, No. 37, was second, T.J. Green, No. 55, was third, Justin Long, No. 42, was fourth and Robert Scrivner, No. 53, was fifth. Twenty-six cars started the feature.

IMCA Stock Car Winner: Jason Batt, No. 9, and Matt Guillaume, No. 50, put on quite a show. Several laps into the feature, Batt battled his way past Matt to take the lead and the win. Zachary Riley, No. 110, was third, Charles Cosper, No. 33c, was fourth and Eric Jones, No. 84x, was fifth. Twenty-six cars started the feature.

It was the second of three nights of racing at Heart O' Texas Speedway's Annual Fall Classic. Thursday night was practice and Friday night consisted of heat and qualifying races. The top eight finishers in each of the eight classes locked themselves in for Saturday nights finales. A nice crowd was on hand and over 200 race teams were in the pits. Racing continues Saturday night and will include the Sprint Series of Texas plus a full IMCA race program. The gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m.

Devils Bowl Speedway (Mesquite) October 18 (Saturday)
Matt Covington, No. 95, picked up his first Lucas Oil ASCS Winter Nationals victory Saturday night at the historic Devils Bowl Speedway. This was the 41st running of the event and a large crowd was on hand to watch the races. Matt Covington started on the pole and lead every lap of the 30-lap feature. Settling for second was Dusty Zomer, No. 82, Aaron Reutzel, No. 87, was third, Jeff Swindell, No. 94, was fourth and Derek Hager, No. e85, was fifth. Rounding out the top ten were Tony Bruce Jr., No. 18, Johnny Herrera, No. 45x, Sam Hafertepe Jr., No. 15h, Patrick Stasa, No. 19, and Jason Johnson, No. 41. There were over eighty Sprints in the pits including the ASI Racing Engines RaceSaver Sprints.
Tony Bruce Jr. had a good run to finish sixth.

RaceSaver Sprint Winner: Dale Wester, No. 12, was the feature winner. Ty Johnson, No. 49, was second, Dalton Stevens, No. 99x, was third, Jeff Day, No. 95, was fourth and Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was fifth. Twenty-two cars started the twenty-lap feature.

Blaines Motor Supply USA Limited Modified Winner: It appeared that Jason Ingalls, No. 12, had won the USA Limited Modified race, but he was later DQ'd for illegal tires, giving the win to Tommy Davis Jr., No. 17. Coming in second was Steve Nabors, No. 23, Tony Staats, No. 25, was third, Michael Daniels, No. 711, was fourth, and Billy Brierton, No. 43b, was fifth. Twenty cars started the twelve-lap feature.

Devils Bowl Speedway (Mesquite) October 17 (Friday)
It was the Preliminary Night at the Devils Bowl Speedways 41st Annual James McElreath Memorial Winter Nationals. The weather was beautiful and a good crowd was on hand to watch the races. Seventy-six race teams in the Blaines Motor Supply USA Limited Modifieds and the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprints attempted to lock themselves into Saturday's finale races. There were also 29 Texas Outlaw Modifieds Series (TOMS) for a total of 105 cars in the pits. Racing continues Saturday night for the ASCS Sprints, Blaine Motor Supply USA Limited Modifieds and the ASI RaceSaver 305 Sprints.
Not a good night. Dunn had a flat in his heat and a wreck in feature.
Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) Winner: In one of the best races of the evening, the 2014 Devils Bowl Speedway Modified Champion Max Eddie Thomas, No. 82, and CAM Chassis Chase Allen, No. 17, put on a great show. Max Eddie Thomas lead most of the race, but with a few laps to go, Max Eddie and Chase Allen swapped the lead back and forth. It was neck and neck on the final lap with Chase Allen edging out Max Eddie Thomas at the finish line for the win. On lap seven, eight cars were involved in a major wreck on the front straight-a-way that included current TOMS points leader Clyde Dunn Jr., No. 88. Twenty-three Modifieds started the feature, eleven finished. Chase Allen, No. 17, was first, Max Eddie Thomas, No. 82, was second, Colby Smith, No. 01, was third, Kyle Sweeney, No. 21k, was fourth and Wesley Veal, No. 11x, was fifth. Cody Smith, No. 18s, Danny Veal, No. 5x, Josh Landers, No. 14x, Doug Byrns, No. 32, and Austin Theiss, No. 7d, round out the top ten.
The race fans enjoyed meeting the TOMS drivers and getting an autographed pic.

ASCS Sprints Qualifiers: Jason Johnson, No. 41, looked to be well on his way to getting his first ASCS National feature win this season. But with four laps to go, Jason experienced drive line problems ending his night. Tony Bruce Jr., No. 18, took over the lead and the top spot. Dusty Zomer, No. 82, had a good run to finish second, Matt Covington, No. 95, was third, and Aaron Reutzel, No. 87, rounded out the top four positions that are locked into Saturday's feature. Brad Loyet, No. 05, Jeff Swindell, No. 94, Sam Hafertepe Jr., No. 15h, Johnny Herrera, No. 45x, Jack Dover, No. 53, and Wayne Johnson, No. 77x, round out the top ten.
Close to fifty ASCS Sprints were in the pits.
J.J. Simmons hit the wall hard during the feature.

Rain in the area recently made for some rough racing at Boyd Raceway's Annual Grand Nationals Saturday night. But it didn't stop close to 130 race cars from competing for cash in five different classes. A great crowd was on hand to watch the races despite the cooler temperatures.
IMCA Modified Winner: It was a wild one! But through it all, Fred Wojtek, No. 44, managed to hold off the competition for the win. Charlie Harmon, No. 199, was a close second, Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, was third, Mark Patterson, No. 9m, was fourth and Jason Hunter, No. 13, was fifth. Kevn Sustaire, No. 71k, settled for sixth. Twenty cars started the feature.
