Mitch McMillin manages to survive wild Modified feature at Kennedale Speedway Park

Mitch McMillin was the IMCA Modified feature winner.

July 26 (Saturday)

It was another exciting IMCA Modified feature at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Several cars battled for the lead including Nicholas Littlejohn, No. 76, and Marvin Skinner, No. 27s. When the checkered flag dropped, it appeared that Nicholas had won the race. But his car did not make weight and the feature win went to Mitch McMillin, No. 61, who got his first feature win of the season. Jeremy Willis, No. 010, was second, William Gould, No. 60, was third, Marvin Skinner, No. 27s, settled for fourth and Tommy Williams, No. 151, was fifth. Chad Melton, No. 71, Jay Bransom, No. 29, Eric Miles, No. 65, Demetrius Carter, No. 44, and Tom Walp, No. 51w, round out the top ten. A full field of twenty-two cars started the feature.

Nicholas Littlejohn's car came up a little light on the scales.

Charlie Smith, No. 3c, was involved in a bad wreck.

RaceSaver Sprint Winner: Chad Wilson, No. 20, was the feature winner. Josh Hawkins, No. 80, was second, John Ricketts, No. 5r, was third, Ryan Hall, No. 79v, was fourth and Chase Brewer, No. 99, was fifth. IMCA Stock Car Winner: Roger Hauser, No. 81, was the feature winner. Street Stock Winner: It looked like Sean Hill, No. 5, was going to get his fourth feature win in-a-row, but he dropped out with car problems. "How bout that 79" Anthomy Combs was also having a strong run, but he too dropped out wth engine problems. All of this opened the door for "Flyin" Ryan Powers, No. r12, who took over the lead and the win. Ricky Braddock, No. 56, came in second, Austin Carter, No. 44, was third, Justin Lamar, No 121, was fourth and Rhea Toney, No. 86, was fifth. John Herring, No. $100, Burt Wilten, No. 55m, Tim Murray, No. 124m, Jeff Hauser, No. 79x, Markis Wooten, No. 24m, and Sean Hill, No. 5, finished in this order. Eleven cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Winner: Frank Lackey, No. 41, made it across the finish line side ways to take the exciting win. It was the battle of the two number three IMCA Modifieds at Mountain Creek Speedway Friday night. Charlie Smith, No. 3c, held the early lead, but Sam Cox, No. 3, managed to get by Smith with a few laps to go to take the feature win. Abilene's Josh MaGaha, No. 911, ended up second, Charlie Smith, No. 3c, settled for third, Dillion Pike, No. 6, was fourth and Archie Whitt Jr., No. 76, was fifth. Phoenix Chassis Glen Hibbard, No. 127, Marvin Skinner, No. 27s, Destroyer Chassis Darryl Campbell, No. 83, David Cook, No. 32d, and Jimmy Parker, No 21, round out the top ten. Ten Modifieds started the feature.

RaceSaver Sprint Winner: Veteran George White, No. 10, passed Chipper Wood, No. 47, with two laps to go. Chipper appeared to have this one, but a small mistake going into turns 3 and 4 was all George needed to take the lead and the win. Kyle Jones, No. 04, had a strong run to finish third, John Ricketts, No. 5r, was fourth and Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, was fifth. Chase Brewer, No. 99, Ryan Hall, No. 79, Justin Fifield, No 49, Bobby Ruffin, No. 121, and Patrick Stassa, No. 19, round out the top ten.

William Gould gets Modified win before large crowd at Kennedale Speedway Park

William Gould, No. 60, worked his way past Nicholas Littlejohn, No. 87, to take the Modified feature before a packed house at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Charlie Smith, No. 3c, had a strong run to finish third, Phoenix Chassis Sean Jones, No. j27, was fourth and Matt Martin, No. 11, was fifth. Eric Miles, No. 65, Mitch McMillin, No. 61, Jerry Robinson, No. 30, Jimmy Littlejohn, No. 51, and Alex Anders, No. 70, rounded out the top ten. Eighteen Mods started the feature.

RaceSaver Sprint Winner: Chad Wilson, No. 20, was the feature winner. John Ricketts, No. 5r, had a good run to finish second, Tyler Russell, No. 8x, was third, Colby Estes, No. 71, was fourth and Kyle Jones, No. 04, was fifth. Justin Fifield, No. 49, Chase Brewer, No. 99, Jason Howell, No. 44, Justin Melton, No. 11, and Mark Klis Jr., round out the top ten. A full field of twenty-four Sprints started the feature.

Payton Williams and Jeff Emerson was involved in a wreck. 

Tony Dowd was also involved in a Sprint wreck during the feature.

IMCA SportMod Winner: Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was the feature winner. Wes Cummings, No. 1, was second, Justin Long, No. 42, was third, Jacob Pirkle, No. 141, was fourth and James McCreery, No. 13j, was fifh. Will Fritchen, No. 97f, Rickey Haney, No. 99h, Phillip Campbell, No. 29, Michael Newhad, No. 14n, and Bret Young, No. 69y, round out the top ten. Twenty-two SportMods started the feature.

It was a wild and crazy IMCA Modified race at Heart O' Texas Speedway Friday night. When the checkered flag finally dropped, Ben Ketteman, No. 37, picked up his first feature win of the season. Eric Tomlinson, No. 45t, settled for second, Justin Radcliff, No. 11j, was third, Jerry Frydrych, No. 13, was fourth and Paul White, No. 2w, was fifth. Several top drivers dropped out of the race. William Gould, No. 60, had a flat tire putting him a lap down. Keith White, No. 1, lost a drive shaft, Keith Green, No. 5, had mechanical problems, and Chase Allen, No. 30, hit the back wall hard ending his night. Jason Hubbert, No. 777, flipped on his top during the feature. Eighteen IMCA Modifieds started the feature.

Jason Hubberd got upside down on the first lap of the Modified feature.

IMCA SportMod Winner: David Goode Jr., No., 7g, was the winner. Sid Kipen, No. 58, was second, Gene Burnett, No. 43g, was third, John Freeman, No. 21f, was fourth and Chris Cogburn, No. 601, was fifth. Twenty cars started the feature.

A little green, but a future race car driver no doubt.

IMCA Stock Car Winner: Dennis Bissonnette, No. 07d, was the winner. Joe O'Bryan, No. 14, was second, Brandon Hood, No. 1b, was third, Jason Batt, No. 9, was fourth and Charles Cosper, No. 33c, was fifth. Fourteen cars started the feature.

Charles Cosper had a good run to finish fifth. 

IMCA Hobby Stock Winner: In one of the best finishes of the night, Shannon Dulock, No. 47, captured the win. Andy Roller, No. 63, got a hard fought second, Jeremy Oliver, No. 82, was third, Heath Zucha, No. 88, was fourth and Brandon Geurin, No. 128, was fifth. Thirteen cars started the feature.

Street Stock Winner: Benji Kirkpatrick, No. 47, picked up another win. David Khoury, No. 173, was second, Bobby Mercer Jr., No. 5m, was third, Ed Thompson, No. 181, was fourth and Jack Lewis, No. 11, was fifth. Fourteen cars started the feature.

Matt Martin, No. 11, managed to get by Dean Abbey, No. 26, and hold off Charlie Smith, No. 3c, for the IMCA Modified feature win at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. Dean Abbey, No. 26, settled for third, Tommy Williams, No. 151, was fourth, Demetrius Carter, No. 44, was fifth, William Gould, No. 60, was sixth and Glen Hibbard, No. 127, was seventh. A full field of twenty-three Modifieds started the feature.
