Jeff Emerson ends drought with Modified feature win at Kennedale Speedway Park

Jeff Emerson was the IMCA Modified feature winner.

It had been a while since Jeff Emerson, No. 35, had been in the winner's circle at Kennedale Speedway Park. Glen Hibbard, No. 127, looked like he was going to win his second feature win in two nights. Glen won the Modified feature at Mountain Creek Speedway Friday. But half way through the Kennedale Speedway Park IMCA Modified A-main, Emerson managed to get by Hibbard and hold off last year's IMCA Modified National Champion William Gould, for the win. Jay Bransom, No. 29, was fourth and Matt Martin, No. 11, was fifth. Twenty-two Modifieds started the feature.

William Gould had a strong run to finish second.

Chad Wilson Wins Again: Chad Wilson, No. 20, defeated Jeb Sessums, No. 01j, Friday night's Sprint winner at Mountain Creek Speedway, for the RaceSaver Sprint feature win. This is Chad's second win of the young season. Logan Scherb, No. 69, was third, Kyle Jones, No. 04, was fourth and Justin Melton, No. 11, was fifth. Twenty-six Sprints started the feature.

Great to see Tony Ross back after his major Sprint wreck Friday night.

Jake UpChurch Feature Winner: Jake UpChurch, No. 24, was the IMCA SportMod feature winner. Jacob Pirkle, No. 141, was second, Dustin Sprouse, No. 28, was third, Kyle Lovejoy, No. 41, was fourth and Devin Burgess, No. 64, was fifth.

Guillaume Gets It Done: Matt Guillaume, No. 50, defeated Chase Neil, No. 710, for the IMCA Stock Car feature win. Dennis Bissonette, No. 07d, was third, Michael Sheen, No. 179, was fourth and Levi Hodges, No. 8, was fifth.

Hamilton Hauls In Win: Walter Hamilton, No. 1w, was the Street Stock feature winner. Ted Crone, No. 1x, was second, Lance Hansen Jr., No. 5h, was third, Ryan Powers, No. r12, was fourth and Wess Lamar, No. 121, was fifth.

Palmer Powers His Way To Win: Brandon Palmer, No. 2x, defeated Kyle Wilkins, No. 7mk, for the Factory Stock feature win. Jeffery Kinnard, No. 07, was third, Ron Palmer, No. 0, was fourth and Johnathan Capps, No. 5j, was fifth.
