It was a very special night at Heart O' Texas Speedway. Not only were the ASCS Sprints there for the Battle on the Brazos, along with a full racing program, but the track, fans and drivers also honored the victims of an explosion in West. Thanks to the race fans, Heart O' Texas Speedway collected $5,000 for the city of West. Several drivers also donated their winnings.
Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf Region ASCS Feature Winner: Current National ASCS Sprints leader, Jason Johnson, No. 41, started on the pole and quickly took the lead. Jason held off all challengers to take the $2,500 prize in the Life Partners Inc., Duel on the Brazos, 25-lap main event. Johnny Herrera, No. 45x, was second, Cole Wood, No. 17, was third, Christopher Bell, No. 31b, was fourth and Ray Allen Kulhanek, No. 21t, was fifth. There were a total of 41 Sprints. Local Kevin Ramey, No. 7m, won his b-main, but was DQ.

IMCA Modified Winner: William Gould, No. 60, held off Keith Green. No. 5, and Keith White, No 1, to take the Modified feature win. Ben Ketteman, No. 37, was fourth and Nicholas Littlejohn, No. 51, was fifth. There were 21 cars.
Jimmy Don Sumerour was involved in a roll over.

IMCA SportMods Winner: Steve Hayes, No. X, was the IMCA SportMods feature winner. J.C. Howell, No. 103, was second, Chris Cogburn, No. 601, was third, Kevin Green, No. 5d, was fourth and T.J. Green, No. 55, was fifth. There were 23 cars.

IMCA Hobby Stocks Winner: Jeremy Oliver, No. 82, was the IMCA Hobby Stocks feature winner. Nathan Sodek, No. 60, was second, Garett Rawls, No. 4g, was third, Cody Frank, No. 7, was fourth and Andy Roller, No. 63, was fifth. There were 17 cars.
Bomber Winner: Kevin Smith, No. 57, was the Bomber feature winner. Kevin Harper, No. 26, was second, Steve Wade, No. 8w, was third, Andrews Richards, No. 9, was fourth and Chad Pelham, was fifth. This was Kevin's 2nd feature win. There were 23 cars.

Junior Mini Stocks Winner: Preston Jacobs, No. 771, picked up his 5th feature win. Taylor Florio, No. 21t, was second, Dakota Collier, No. 27, was third, James Hollingsworth, No. 31, was fourth and Zachgary Huser, was fifth. There 10 cars.
