Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale)
April 9 (Saturday)
Smiley Sitton's Sprint Series of Texas rolled into Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday night. This was the second of fifteen events for the SST series this season. In the A-Main feature Kenny Venable, #59, quickly sprinted to the lead. About ten-laps into the race, Rodney "Bones" Henderson, #67, passed Kenny for the lead. It looked like them "Bones" was going to get the win, but with two laps to go, Jerry Hammock, #4, passed him on the outside going into turn one to take the checkered flag. Venable finished third and Jason Howell, #44, won the hard charger award for starting on the back and finishing fourth. The SST series will make it's next appearance at Boyd Raceway Friday, April 22.
The Sprint teams were in the dark briefly when the lights went out.

Keith White was the IMCA Stock Cars feature winner.
Race of the week
All of the races were exciting, but my favorite was the IMCA Stock Cars feature. Several drivers battled it out for the lead, but when the dust had settled, current points leader Keith White, #1, took the win. Daniel Parker, #03, was second and Ryan powers, #r12, was third.
