The American Sprint Car Series rolled into Cowtown Speedway for the fifth round of the Red River Regional Challenge. They were at RPM Speedway in Crandall, TX, Friday night where Justin Melton picked up his first ASCS feature win. Twenty-four ASCS Sprints started the 25-lap feature. Fort Worth's own Caud Estes, #74e, held off a hard charging Andy Shouse, #27, for the $2,000 feature win. Andy Shouse, who started from the twelve position, worked his way to the front, only to have a caution come out. Claud was placed back in front, and with four laps to go, went on to take the checkered flag. Kevin Ramey, #7, George White, #10, and current Lone Star Region points leader Eric Baldaccini, #4, rounded out the top five.
Justin Melton was the ASCS Sprints winner at RPM Speedway Friday.
