TMS owner Bruton Smith posts profit in 2008

Thatsracin.com reported Wednesday that Speedway Motorsports Incorporated big boss Bruton Smith turned a profit last year despite posting a loss in the fourth quarter. It's all fuzzy math to me, but if you want to read more about Smith, who owns Texas Motor Speedway, go here.

The outlook for 2009 isn't as good and the first proof of that was at Atlanta Motor Speedway last Sunday where a good many seats were empty.
